How to properly fix the background?

I really hate the people on the background and I'd really like to remove them. I tried with the blur but it came up horrible.

Help appreciated

I actually like it. Her light hair and centering takes her out of a drab crowd; it's taking her out of the chorus if you will. That blur masking looks contrived. If you want that effect, get glass much faster than you've got.
>>
>>2785503
It's a 45-200 f/4 lens, I can't afford anything better.

I'm asking how to post produce this image, not how to blur the background.
>>
>Frame shot
>wait for people to move
>if they don't move
>snap shot when space behind model is clear
>snap shot when space on the right is clear
>snap shot when space on the left is clear
Those are the joys of shoowing in public. Also use Lens blur in photoshop instead if you're going to try this. Remember to make a selection first and duplicate layers for overlays/masks.
>>
>>2785555
Lens blur is a Photoshop CC only feature

Lens Blur has been in Photoshop since CS1.
>>
>>2785660
Where is it? I can only see Gaussian Blur
>>
How to PROPERLY fix the background? Reshoot it. Seriously. Stop relying on post-processing and keep your foregrounds and backgrounds in mind next time you take pictures. It's basic composition skills.
>>
>>2785956
It was a fucking snapshit! I couldn't even concentrate about it because when I shoot my father ALWAYS walks in front of me. I didn't even have time to look at what I was doing and the camera was having troubles to shoot more than 1 FPC. It's an old shot where my skills were nothing confronted to ones I have now. I often come back to this shot, trying to get something good out of it.
I don't have any models to shoot with, and this was taken at a special trip so that's why there is some cool bokeh.
As said before, I only took the 45-200 f/4-5.6 that day because I didn't think I would have shot at the evening.

don't be mad, whats lost is lost. just try to do it better next times, even if your gear won't change.
can't do much about the ppl in the background, maybe desaturate them to a less confronting degree.

Then sorry, but you're straight out of luck.
Maybe you'd be able to achieve what you wanted to if you stopped being a lazy cunt and listened to the advice people give you.

Here's a freebie on me:
You have to redraw/clone/heal areas over and over before you create the lens blur, It will take some time to do.

>>
>>2785495

fucking /p/

someone actually takes a good photo for once and the first thing they want to do is ruin it because it's not instagram-clean enough.
fucking shit
>>
>>2785495
If you don't like the people in the frame, then why did you leave them in the photo when you took it?
>>
>>2786269
What is good about it? The obvious subject is completely unintelligible. It's a totally boring scene made "unique" with blur and a strange motion.
>>
>>2786276
yea you know what fuck that shit too. standards are getting too low around here. mother fuckers posting pictures of the moon and shit.

Oh look, one of those threads where someone asks a question and then makes argumentative excuses in response to every single informative response.

You either need to choose your shot more carefully or invest in the products described in the thread. There is no magic free way to turn a fucked up photo into a good one. Stop fucking arguing with people and realize that you just need to shoot better.
>>
>>2786358
Oh thank you. And fuck off.

Gr8, I'm keeping it as it is

That looks like trash. redrawing/cloning and lens blur maybe with a mix of a little motion blur and masking is the answer.
