not him but you cant shoot the moon at f8, iso 100, 1/5s and not blow it out. your exposure would have to be 1/80s or faster

Well I can assure you it's not shopped. Keep in mind, this was in the process of going total eclipse, so it may have been slightly darker. It was also very close to the horizon, so light is being blocked that way as well

This was a full moon, a super moon in fact. The left side of the moon was in the process of being covered by the shadow of the earth. This picture was taken September 27th 2015 from Shelter Island in San Diego California.

That was just the glow after the sunset. That was taken maybe 20-30 minutes after sunset.
Pic related is what it looked like when the sun was about to go down. Very different looking. I didn't like the colors, so I never used this image
