These are nothing. You REALLY need to go outside and find a subject your viewer is going to care about.
You get minor points for finding interesting light, but that light is falling on nothing of value.

Light can be a subject.

Yes it can. Of course. But if you want the light to be your subject, it needs to be the most notable thing in your photo, that your viewer wants to look at, and be impressed by. In these, the light is a tool used to illuminate completely mundane shit that we don't care about at all. We're not looking at the light because we're looking at a hand on the wall, or the boring texture of some cloth, etc. If you want us to focus on the light, you have to remove the visual distractions from the image, and then show the light doing something noteworthy. Reflecting, being a cool color, glowing, being an interesting shape, refracting, etc.
I get the idea behind them but these can be considered boring and while I suppose they'd make a good background for a lingerie webpage, they aren't particularly worth remembering.

it should be obvious, but subject matter wasn't my goal with these. I'm trying to gain a better eye for composition, light, form, value, light vs. shade, etc. and figure I could practice over at a friend's house (also they didn't want their face on 4chan)

I had some mirrors, but thought it would be too gimmicky. I'll give it another shot keeping what you said in mind
