because you used a wide angle lens. That actually makes the shoe photo look more interesting, but it does zero for telling you how the lines of that shoe really look because it's so distorted. And you're trying to sell the shoes. That's the number one goal, not being artistic.

The easiest thing you can do is change the angle of incidence of the light that is bouncing into your camera lens. So move your light sources around to minimize the direct reflections bouncing towards the camera. Also, the bigger and more diffuse the light source, the less specular glare you get in general.
Another thing you could do is take a photo with the light source on, take a photo with the light source off or reduced, and merge them in Photoshop to reduce the glare.
The option that gives you perfect results would be to have a polarizing filter on your flash, and a polarizing filter on your lens, and then slowly turn the polarized filter on your lens until it cancels out any polarized light being reflected back to the camera.
