Ok /P
I'm very new too all of this, so don't shoot me
I bought my very first camera today , and this is the result
I'm pretty happy with this picture , but i cant seem to put more detail in the statue ...
how do i do that ?
Camera: NIKON D3300
Aperture: f/4.8
ISO: 2200
Exposure: 1/60
Focal Length: 38/1

Better lighting
Lower ISO (High ISO removes detail)
Sharper aperture (for f2.8 lenses, f8 tends to be the sharpest aperture)
Faster shutter speed - the faster the shutter speed the less your hand shake affects the image.
To get the most out of this image you'd probably want to use a tripod, or increase the intensity of the lighting.

Is this shot with the kit lense?
You might want to try some off camera fill flash.
>>2767283
any reason you linked to a cosplay site?
>>2767283
yes it is with the kit lense !

The lighting looks like it fills in the shadows with murkiness, if that makes any sense. Gives the edges no real definition. Try the same thing with the onboard flash, should be quite sharper.
Also, yeah the ISO isnt helping.

did what you say

and filled in with a little light from a flashlight hehe
>poorfag here
it worked , i guess ?
can anyone tell if this is still a cringe worthy picture

looks much better. maybe try to diffuse the light a bit (baking paper over the flashlight)
>>2767295
thanks for the info !
i'll try that out tomorrow
sleepy as fuck
>>2767264
lower your ISO. The lowest ISO you can get will give the best detail. To get there, you'll need more light. So either brighter light in the room, or a solid surface to set/mount your camera on to allow for a long exposure.

I fucked up - a cut & paste link I took from another thread to view - no shilling - in fact I thought those photos were pretty crap.
>>2767293
there you go!
Also, get a tripod in case you dont have one yet and shoot with 100 iso and as long exposures as needed
>>2767293
Try doing focus stacking for extended depth of field

bought one today , hehe
thanks for all the info guys !

Or just shoot at f/8?
