Yeah, I've a Zenit 12XP and a Praktica MTL5 and the only reason I'll ever stick a lens on the Зeнит is for T hours-long startrail/nighttime exposure because shoeboxes don't have M42 screwmounts.
I like to romanticise the quaint Zenit but for actual photography literally every single different SLR brand/make has more features and overall better design/viewfinder coverage.
I shit you not, please, please show me an M42 SLR manufactured at the same time period that has less features than a Zenit, I'm genuinely curious. And all this is coming from a minimalist that likes to use a Smena 8M.

You are not the /p/olice, and this board was not set up specifically for you. The guidelines in the Sticky were put there by one guy talking to mods like... three years ago? You can't be banned or have your posts deleted for violating it, so clearly it's just there to sort of be there.
