can you tell me what is better, this b/w or the following colored version of this photo.
Are there any things to make better in future, or maybe in postprocessing?
I'm just about to begin making photos regularly, more than bad looking snapshots. so newbe advisory is wanted.

Shoot in better lightning?
I'm no expert, but my thoughts are the colored version suffers because the switch in the road surface material breaks the flow of the leading of the eye. At the same time, the road doesn't actually lead us anywhere, it just disappears on us after following and there's nothing of interest
The BW doesn't suffer from this as much, but OTOH, there's nothing terribly interesting in the picture. The lightning is dull and there's no story to tell. It's just a picture of a road creek - the road and sidewall texture in themselves aren't interesting enough to make an intersting image, at least in these lightning conditions.
