Fuji XT1 bracketing options?
Can someone that owns an XT1 confirm that it can still only do a 3 image 1 stop brackets?
I am interested in the Fuji system (currently shoot Nikon) and I was told by a rep a while ago that one of the firmware updates would improve the bracketing options, this was a few months ago now.
Also interested in any and all XT1 sample images, if you could also list the lens that would be great.

Best camera I've ever used. It might not have the best spec sheet but the iq and fun using it blows the competition. Seriously. Even Angry Photographer, a so sworn Nikon fan, who used to ridicule and mock mirrorless for all their flaws and shit, has bought himself x-t1 and x-t10 and is now doing review videos for fuji gear once in a while.
I upgraded it to the last firmware but didnt bother with bracketing, will test it an let you know later.

is it possible to shoot in RAW and have the film simulation effects on the RAW file? Like how you can set Canon cameras to RAW and change the picture profile to monochrome and in the Canon image software you can import and view the RAWS with the picture profile overlayed ontop of the RAW file...
this would be cool so to not have too shoot RAW+jpg and can still shoot with the film sims but have the flexibility to tweak after with RAW flexibility.

film simulation is always on with raws and jpegs unless your shooting with toy filters.
when shooting raws you can convert in camera to any filter you want after shooting

This is where alot of Fuji users get lost and even I did when I first started as I didn't know where the profiles were so I could shoot RAW with those colors and tones.
Mostly shot JPleb for the first few months and highly regret it.

1. lightroom has embeded film simulations from Fuji but everyone knows lightroom and xtrans dont go well together.
2. silkypix has film simulations from Fuji, but I dont like the silkypix workflow.
3. I am using Capture one pro. Has nice colour reproduction, detail is good, workflow is nice, and some fella ported the fuji simulation files. Those can be downloaded here:

Probably going to be a Fuji shooter the rest of my life desu, tried Nikon, Canon, Sony and Fuji's just sit right with me.

If you need bracketing of more than three photos at more than one stop range, then yep, it's good that you went with Sony I guess. I have never once used bracketing at all, let alone at any extreme range without the ability to do it by hand. I didn't even know it was a thing. I've found that even with the most demanding scenes I've shot, good light and an incredible ability to push shadows on the Sony sensor, I haven't ever needed it.

Let me clarify, in many cases, such as with Canon, Nikon, Sony, and maybe Pentax. Not in many cases with Fuji. Fuji's XF lenses are all designed to be their pro line of lenses, and the quality follows. Most are metal, most are high quality optics, most receive firmware updates and speed improvements, etc. The XC line is their "lower quality" line of lenses that are made of plastic, but in general, the image quality is still great. Added bonus, supposedly the lighter weight allows for speedy AF operation as well.

re: the term kit lens
It means very different things from different companies, and different eras. a Fuji 18-55 is quite a bit better than a modern Canon 18-55, which is far better an old late 90s-early 2000s Canon 18-55. They've all been improving across the board, but the Fuji kit lens options are quite comparable to certain L lenses, speed notwithstanding.
Another reason to consider the 18-55 and 16-50 is that they're actually some of the fastest focusing lenses for the mount. A 16-50 on an Xpro1 is surprisingly responsive considering the cameras vintage.

Here's a 100% crop from the 18-55 at 55mm.
I've had a few problems with aberrations here and there, but it's about four photos in 5000. The circumstances have to be just right for it to happen.
