A bit of a suggestion I'd have is that your photo was taken at 0ev but you want to be wary of whether or not you'll be getting enough light on your subject. If you look near the top the lights are completely blown out. I'm not entirely sure what mode you were shooting but 1600 iso 1/6 f/4.3 at 30mm makes me think you might be on auto which is fine just make sure to be mindful of whether or not the subject you're shooting has enough light but not too much and once you've got that down you can practice capturing that manually so you can obtain peak sharpness and be able to more control since you'll rarely be able to get perfect light without setting it up yourself.

Its dark, but that by no means is a bad thing. Think of exposure as part of your narrative tool set, if making your image dark helps it say something it wouldn't say otherwise, go for it. Don't crush your low end, but don't be afraid to have deep rich black tones. I personally think this image has some really interesting dramatic tension that I don't think would really show through if it lighter.

While you can add grain, the effect is different than what can be achieved by stressing the image at high ISOs. If one wishes to shoot grainy images, why not do it in camera? Why waste time in post deciding a look when you can plan one in the shot? If you don't like the grain, go shoot more images at low isos

Ah, yes, it really does degrade the Electrical Till Corporation (of Neil Stephenson's Cryptonomicon) of most shots.
I disagree, I think that grain changes the feel of an image. If you welcome it and don't reduce it, it adds character.
I have long felt that grain in b&w images gives the image a smoother, more organic tonality. It really depends on how you feel about "tonality."
If you feel that way after shooting and experimenting with it yourself, continue shooting at low isos.
I'm not saying I shoot above 6400 most of the time, I shoot plenty of images clean, but there's a lot of talk of reducing grain on this thread. See what you can do with it, see how it can affect your images! Experiment! Use your equipment in new ways!
