thanks for the comment. well i used kodak gold 100, had read some good opinions and was curious. used 200 in the past and liked the warm palette (as opossed to fujis cold one). had a hunch so i overexposed most of these shots to fuck, like a lot. provia handled much better the shadows, but i think this film does very nicely when overcooked, nothing was blown, the latitude is crazy.

here's a shot at iso 100 with 1/20 second shutter speed and f/5 aperture in a room around noon with the curtains open, filling the room with white light reflected from all the frozen bullshit still on my yard.
there's also a lamp turned on, which doesn't actually appear that much brighter to my eyes.
you might think i shot it at night and compensated for the lamp, but no. i'm even blowing the sensor to the point of purple fringing.

I used 200iso film for indoor stuff with artificial lighting before, in a pretty wide range of lightsources and conditions and've never encountered something even close to OP's, esp. given his dof in that shot. Thus the confusion, doubts.
Then again, never shot at a Chilean supermarket freezer section so hey, with our eyes' deceptive and underrated light compensation lying the fuck to our brains about actual luminosity levels, this might well be a thing and I'll have to poke around with a lightmeter every time nonstandard artificial lighting is about because I have two lying pieces of shit lodged in my eye sockets that don't want me to take cool indoor shots.

Why is everyone going on about DOF? Everyone in here is saying the DOF "looks like" f/5.6. You have no idea what focal length this was taken at, and even less knowledge about the lighting in the store.
Aperture affects DOF, yes, but focal length affects it more. f/1.8 doesn't ALWAYS produce razor thin DOF if it's on a wide lens.
This lighting setup is totally feasible and I have no idea why people are so confused here.

im just enjoying the camera, man, really enjoying it. as i said in the OP, currently color because everything is looking so saturated and warm these days, also hot girls in spandex. ill go back to the dyptychs eventually. there wont be any dyptychs in color. i take this as a test roll, also i like documenting stuff i find neat, just by the way it looks or the colors, even if its not remotely relevant or "photo worthy".

Given the fixed sensor size of full and half frame formats and the fov from all these shots of very varying subjects it's actually pretty easy to tell the focal. That and most HFs in the world have 30-40mm focals as a rule. I keep forgetting OP's stingy about his shot count because usually halfframes are more noisy, grain- wise, what with double the magnification. You may be retarded but you accidentally stumbled onto a good point - the dof being deeper on a hf prime, which I didnt realise, full frame imbecile that I am.

for instance, shots like this >>2756849 , which i like for its low contrast and "airy feel", cant even be possible with slide which is aggressively colorful, in fact, slide is lot less manipulable in pp. you can grade the color neg to fuckall and will still look good.
