What about the camera is causing it to display the flickering

What about the camera is causing it to display the flickering lights in my studio as rainbow colors? Does the chip pick up other wavelengths? /sci/ wasn't much help

But I get similar "rainbow" colors when photographing my LED lighting at fast shutter speeds.
