Hi guys. I stopped taking pictures for a while. I tried a bit the other day. Here's some mediocrity I wouldn't mind some feedback and constructive criticisms on.

I think your locations have a lot of potential but you need to do something other than just paying lip service to the rule of thirds. Get down really low, get up high, focus on something tiny on the beach, or a bubble at the water's edge, use a different focal length. Anything to add that little spark of magic. I did like how you caught the birds all in a line though.

I kind of like this one because of how the birds are aligned.
The rest are pretty generic though. They feel like they don't have a subject.

Is there any good way to break that? I'm not really trying to do it.

Me and the grillfriend had never seen a sunrise over the Atlantic.

Still true.

>this shit is just walking around in the streets in Florida

It was me who mentioned the rule of thirds. Knowingly or not, you've more or less kept your horizons or points of interest on the lines and intersections according to that rule. Nothing wrong with that, it works. However, don't get dragged into using that theory religiously. If a towering sky catches your eye, get that horizon way down low. If it feels right, put your subject in or near the centre. I don't know what camera you're using but whatever it it you can play with composition. Think about your foregrounds on your landscapes and seascapes, give the viewer something to interest them and draw them in. Google 'leading lines'. Most important of all, get back out and take more photos!
