hey guys Im having an issue between keeping my wx350 (picture) or buying a rx100 I or an a5000.
the wx350 suffers alot by the small image sensor in low light. this was the best image I took at the max ISO 3000 or so and it doesn't have manual anything. although I think in light settings it works haven't tried out doors yet. is it better to take the rx100 with its portability as an everyday Carey, the A5000 with its huge sensor but lack of mobility (and it comes with a poor lens in comparison towards the rx as someone told me) or keep the wx

I couldnt answer that, my lenses are the cost of your entire budget. Ask the gear thread. You're looking at something like a Canon Rebel or Nikon D3200 though
IMO p&s are for old people who just want convienent picture taking. Not for you
>>2729431
I was thinking of these.
the Fuji and the a5000 are aps-c or maybe I can use my dad's lenses (which doesn't sound practical considering it would probably be better to just use his camera then) and use a lower cheaper camera
or A t5
>>2729438
Don't worry about crop factor, especially if you buy fuji. I have an X-T1 and its fucking beautiful.
Although that X-A2 would probably suit you well, I recommend saving $300 more to get an X-T10, which comes with the superior CMOS II sensor and the XF 18-55mm 2.8 zoom lens (this is the best zoom lens on the planet)
My X-T1, which has the same sensor as the XT10 produces beautiful images.

The X-A2 also does not have a viewfinder. If you're serious about photog you need to get a camera with this.
Trust me when you use a Fuji electric viewfinder for the first time you'll be hooked.
>>2729444
>(this is the best zoom lens on the planet)
wat
>>2729465
i can probably do that honestly i always liked sony cameras for some reason.
>>2729451
in comparison the sony doesnt have on either. how truely important is it. i know you could get what your camera is truely seeing. but at this price range i dont know if there is any with a view finder
>>2729444
thats good camera mate i checked all 3 out and jesus, the x-t1 is so expensive. its more probable for me to get a x-a2 than the x-10, unless i start collecting food stamps.
i think this is a good idea a6000 with an auto focus adapter (but the lenses dont have power going through them; as the coments say)
>>2729586
Yeah Im saying to get the XT10 because it's really just X-T1 lite
The viewfinder is very important. Its like when ur playin COD with ur m8s and ur tryn 2 shoot n00bs but only hipfirin as opposed to using ur acog
Just go to a camera store and try the XT10
>>2729768
couldnt find one but i walked out with a canon rebel t5
>>2730011
im mostly glad i at least have manual mode. but this camera, yeah its a budget camera; it doesnt have a huge range in f stop or shutter speed but it works for what i do. anyways i needed a camera fast, im a senior in an AP 2-D design class and i have a $20 dollar allowance w/o the privilege to work; besides it was a christmas gift from my dad and obviously he wants the better camera (t3i) and he has a good amount of lenses too. but i appreciate the help, thanks mate
>>2730080
>range in f stop
That is entirely dependent on the lens. Im sure it came with some garbage (no offense) 18-70mm 3.8 or some such.
Get yourself a good prime at 1.8 or faster. Primes are much more fun and rewarding imo.
>>2730106
it goes to 18-55; 4 f-stop
so any general purpose lenses or wide with a good f-stop
>>2730111
what kind of photography do want to try most? If undecided, a 50mm prime is good place to start, as its good for almost any application
>>2730111
>it goes to 18-55; 4 f-stop
what the fuck
F describes aperture, not focal length
>>2730132
I think he knows that. You're confused by his amateur language
