Most hipster camera. Not looking to buy one juts wondering.

I have a Nikon Df, it is pretty hip though I never bought that shitty retro 50mm 1.8
Also one of the most underrated cameras on the market.
I just got myself a Yashica Mat (the original one) and a Nikkormat FT2. I had to buy my xmas presents for myself since I can't trust friends or family to get what I want (._. )
The Olympus XA takes the cake.
A pocket-size 35mm rangefinder with an very sharp Zuiko 35mm f/2.8 lens.
Yet it can only shoot aperture priority and has an extensive selection of accessories: two flashes.

Why would he be deciding between those 2 cameras? they are completely different which means is probably basing his decision on aesthetics which is beyond stupid.
I do not need to go into the whole host of reasons why the Df is completely underrated when he is comparing a FF DSLR to a pocketable fixed lens mirrorless camera......

I meant the X-T1

Mamiya Press camera with the instant back in my opinion. Serious but unfortunately half-convincing street photographer by day but a goddamn party animal by night.

I recently got a WL viewfinder for my Nikon F2. I can't think in reverse well enough to use it :/
>>2726620
Ergonomics on the Fuji is nicer. The Df is FF so it's considerably more expensive (with lenses included) and heavy/large, however, will get better low-light performance. AF, IQ, and all other respects they are equals otherwise. The Fuji is a much better performace/value camera by a long shot, and the ergonomics are amazing.
The Df does have a higher flash sync which is the X-T1's achilles heel if you do a lot of strobe work.
It's a toss up really, however the XT-1 is much better value.
The only camera for real hipsters.

This. Tilting it to level photos is the worst
Rolleiflex (or any TLR) or a Leica. Visually interesting cameras that people will approach you to talk about.
One of my friends carries a M3 when he and I go out street shooting, whereas I carry a GR with the logos taped over. He can't go an hour without someone coming up to him going "hey nice camera" or "is that a leica, dude?". Seems counterproductive to street photography to me, but different strokes for different folks. The M3 certainly fits the bill for a hipster camera since it looks the part, takes killer photos and is piss easy to use
Minox 35: the smallest, the original (after Rollei 35 of course)

It may be the worst measured lens on DxO, but they only measure modern lenses and the images are actually finely detailed at web resolution. I would call this result bad, but not even near, not even remotely close to the worst possible.

a friend purchased one, then got disillusioned because it didnt give the classic MF look, aka. sweet DOF.
he didnt shoot a single frame and sold it, lmao.
>>2727422
Really, that's weird, because for years it was supposed to be THE go to camera for wedding photography, and I'm not sure what kind of look they were going for, with MF I can understand DoF but that is also dependent on focusing distance

I have 2 koni omegas. There are a few people on /p/ with them and they are pretty well known for people who want to try medium format because they are so fucking cheap.
It's 6x7 so there is some shallow DOF but the lenses are not very fast so you need to get close if you want shallow DOF. Even wide open you can get a usable shot but I always end up shooting stopped down.
MF cameras were used often for weddings but the koni omega was not that popular. Let alone "THE go to camera" for anything. Hasselblads and Mamiyas were more common for weddings.
This is an old picture. I use it for more personal stuff. Family stuff I shoot on 35mm. I really need to give my koni omega more love.
