So i thought i just found an amazing idea for a documentary series, then i do a bit of investigation, and one fucker literally published the same idea i had (format, concept and everything) early this year.

Stop being a softcock and do it. Just because the idea is the same doesn't mean the execution will be the same as well. The photographer / artist brings as much to the project as the idea does. Likely yours will be entirely different by the time it's done.

it involves travelling to another country, getting some southamerican jungle action, maybe dealing with mobs too. not going to give full details.
went to check the guys photos again and his shit is unfocused, not technically, but conceptually. his subjects are alright, but compo is lacking. i think there is room for doing a better version. hes using hass w/portra, for that soft contrast look. maybe i should use some slide film and non square format, just for that 80s/90s colorful magnum vibe (like those golden rock photos in burma).
