Yeah, a little bit. You can't come close to getting all the detail out of film with a consumer level flatbed, and with 35mm, you sort of want as much detail as you can get, but you'll be okay if you don't expect magic.
You should have gotten a PlusTec 8100 for 35mm, but oh well.

if you have a dslr, you could do much better buying a macro lens + slide duplicator. consumer flatbeds are not good for scanning anything smaller than 6x6.
