I've heard stories about you from back in the days when all the tripfags and anons lived in harmony together. It may not be like that anymore here on /p/ but just remeber that even as the board changes and new people come and go along with the world of photography innovating at what seems to be at the fastest pace we've ever seen it go the photos and technical rules of getting those images will never cease to change. We strive to be the very best we can be but like every other hobby there are but so many limitations, and even if you are considered the best at what you do some will always try to doubt you and put you through nothing for their own self gratification. It's a lesson that I feel most anons here on /p/ need to learn, until then however we are stuck in a sort of semi-narcissistic rut revolving around gear and our own work that we may never overcome by simply not admiring the good in other picutes besides our own (and I'll admit I'm guilty as hell on both accounts).

You've successfully articulated something that I've been feeling for a while now. It's so easy to be critical of somebody else's shot, because you didn't take it and don't have the same emotional attachment to whatever time, energy, education and love you put into the shot. In the end we have that competitive edge that makes haters of us all.
It's unfortunate too because I think there's a lot of nice images going around. Even so-called "boring" images of "boring" subjects, if well-crafted, can look interesting.
