In sleeves...which are kept in a binder.

RAID array on a NAS. Backup on a disconnected HDD.

Actual negatives? Few now, but in boxes. I'll get around to scan (presumably with a MILC) and eventually discard them at some point.

Enjoy your loss of dynamic range
>>

From how other people's DSLR scans looked, I don't think I'll loose very much with my MILC, but I'll have to see...

>MILC
In my experience you have to shoot raw and adjust the exposure and ISO per scan according to how the film was exposed. It still doesn't quite extract all the shadow detail IMO
>>
>>2710450
If you think loss of dynamic range is what will ruin your photos, you're sadly deluded.

negatives in the sleeves they give you at the developers, sleeves they give you at the developers go in a shoebox. I've got 50+ unshot rolls i may shoot and try developing myself and then i'll need sleeves so i'll get a binder. Some negatives i'v asked not to be cut up because they went through funny cameras and are not properly spaced so they gave me back rolled up in a canister. These will also go in a binder if i ever get round to it.

I would put them in the little sleaves but they are fugging expensive on ebay so I just stick them onto projector film and slip them into a folder
>>
Film sleeves, used to keep them in envilopes, works fine if you don't have a lot of negs.
>>
Negs go in archival quality film sleeves made by Albox Australia, and they go in to an archival quality binder made by Albox Australia.

The national archive uses Albox Australia products for storage of photographic prints and negatives. If it's good enough for them - it's good enough for me.

6-frame acetate free sleeves! I just keep those in a binder. Actually I only store my b&w in those sleeves. I keep my color negs in the sleeves the lab gives me and keep them separate.

Where do you buy those badboys?
>>
>>2710691

I was referring to 35mm. I get the Print File style no. 35-6HB. I like them because my Epson V600 scans 6 frames at time so I cut them to that.

in sleeves kept in a plastic folder with some silica gel bags...
>>
>>2710422

Judging by your photo quality, I'd say you have more to worry about than your negatives.

Checked.

I store mine in sleeves and keep those sleeves in a one inch binder. You can buy the sleeves from B&H Photo online or most other photo stores. I buy the Print File 100 pack for 13-15 bucks, but they also sell them in smaller quantities. And they are great for organizing because you can label them! Hope this helps.

Does it matter what quality or brand you buy for archival sheets? I might buy some of those china/korea ebay seller ones. Up till now i've left my negatives in their lab envelopes but this thread is showing me how unorganised that is.
