Hey guys,
I'm new to photography and picked up a Sony A6000 with the standard kitlens to start learning compositions as I wish to become a cameraman.
Any tips on what to learn?
Pic related, shot this yesterday, yes I'm aware it's dark. I loved the creepy look of it.
Learn to use iso, aperture and shutter speed properly so your photos don't come out really underexposed. This would be a decent photo if half of it wasn't black.

Tad too much blue though. I didn't want to make any colors appear that weren't there. The sky was really shit yday.

Just go back and try again on a nicer day and take a bunch of shots with different settings, thats how you learn. Shoot till you get that perfect shot

I like the creepy look of it too. i don't think it's too dark, but i guess it would be more striking if it was more of a dramatic silhouette (lighter sky, darker trees). tough to shoot that, and faking it in poast always feels a little dishonest
>Wait until it's pitch black
>Artificially light the trees
>Opposing wide beams, 100 foot falloff
>Narrow beam for the path
>Trees to nowhere.jpg

Wish I could, was on a trip to my grandparents.

Kept the gloomy feel just cropped it and brightened the shadows. Increase your editing skills in light room and learn to read a histogram

It was more in overall I guess, what should I start with when I get into photography more.

Also kept the 90% of my picture is super underexposed look...

I really love it as it's almost like a drawing.

Yea!
>except for the fact that it's a photograph and it's way underexposed and bad as a result of that.
You're right tho!
