another photo that's neither here nor there because the background elements are too strong and blend too well with the foreground plants. another angle might get you a better shot even without changing the depth of field.

compositionally fantastic. the trees form interesting lines, the tops of them form yet another line. great wide perspective. i might move a bit more to your right. i'd try to make the trees even more prominent and taller-looking while keeping the fallen tree in the shot, but a bit smaller.

I typically shoot a lot of macro and I would try to recompose to shoot those little plants and fungi closer. Photo is too busy but there's something attractive in there for you to isolate.
