Top right is perfectly fine.
The alternative next to it is more stable in theory, but so awkward it actually tends to be less stable and changing settings gets especially retarded.
Anyone doing bottom right must leave /p/ immediately though.

Is it just me, or are uncoupled, non-ttl finders just for dipshits who just don't understand the focal length they're shooting?
I mean sure, if you're shooting a Hologon or a panoramic format, knock yourself out.
But spending a third again of the cost of your GR, just so you can put your face next to it and still not be sure if your focus, exposure or framing are correct, seems pants on head retarded to me.
If you've shot it for more than a week you should have internalised the FOV.

What's wrong with 4 and 7?
>>2697804
Can you stop projecting please? Shooting at arms length through a screen is possibly the least comfortable way to hold a camera, not to mention that it's far less stable.
Plus the GR has a small LED than glows when it gets focus, which you can see out of the corner of your eye when you are using an ovf

With your arms spread away from your body, the anchor point is further from the weight, which means less stability in the system (think about a measuring tape when you pull it out a foot and lock it, it's very stable, but when you pull it out four feet it starts to sag and sway and jiggle)
it's a minimal gain but it's just showing optimum technique, rather than photographic law. Do what works best for you, really.

He IS framing a pleasingly autistic symmetrical/geometric subject with the possibility of something in the background, on/over the water being framed by the railing or at worst the lifebuoy. That's honestly the kind of composition/subject choice I've seen most oftennon /p/. Dat squat tho, hnng.

I don't have to change the grip that much when I use my K-3. Basically everything is right at my fingers with a normal grip. What camera are you using?
>how do you hold your camera?
usually, I don't. that's the job of my tripod.
>>2703021
D800.
It's not a change of grip, I only move my fingers.
>>2703117
Yeah, same. I only have to move my thumb and index fingers to reach basically everything.
Tried out my friends Canon and it was a bit awkward to hold.
