What zeiss lenses aren't just zeiss because of a little blue sticker to disguise the fact that it's made by sony in Thailand, or fuji in Japan (not that it makes a diff, since the rest are made by cosina iin Japan anyway).

They're mostly made in japan, except for some non-consumer stuff that's still produced in germany.
You'll notice that on the zeiszony 55 1.8, that the zeiss logo is prominent and very obvious, but the "made in thailand" is tiny, smaller than usual "made in"s and looks printed on as an afterthought.
Still, sonyzeiss are made in thailand, zeiss-zeiss are made in japan by cosina, the x-mount touits were actually made by fuji (kek).

It's even weirder because Sony is incredibly proud of their RX100 lens and takes personal credit for the new dual aspherical element used.

The fuji ones were finished by fuji with contacts and af system. The glass and barrel are the same as e mount
