OK, thanks.
New to this lands of 4chan but I come here for a simple question.
What do you think of Mirrorless Cameras. I got a DSLR myself but lately I've been considering on maybe trying the mirrorless ones.
What are your thoughts on them?
Does anybody use here one, or both?
Pic related, the Sony a6000
I switched from a DSLR to mirrorless.
Mirrorless great for studio shots and tripod stuff. DSLR great for sports and long tele lenses.
If you have a more specific question I can answer it
>>2874955
I moved from nikon to an a6000
The a6000 is much lighter, much more lens choices, much more convenient bringing around.
The only issue i have with it is that vertically the body was a little too short for me since i have big hands, so i got a battery grip to give myself more to hold on to
>>2874963
thank you! got plenty actually but to start..
why is it that everyone says DSLR's are better for sports and such? If mirrorless have better fps (unless you go to the high-end DSLR models) and -supposedly- faster AF
Do you think weight can be a determinant factor to choose a mirrorless over a dslr? I mean, at the end you need to consider also de lenses weight!. For example, XT10 is around 380 grams while the Nikon d5500 is just 40 grams heavier...

I would like to ask for some advices.
What may be the cause of those red color shifts betweeen frames in my failed timelapse? It was set on something around 20sec exposure, and let's pretend for a second that i'm absolutely sure it's not my failed attempt of bulk processing (it may be, i'm just wondering if there may be any other reasons).
And second question, is there any way to protect camera/lens from getting foggy in wrong weather?
Did you set your WB to auto while you were shooting this? Some external lights could be the reason
if so, consider manual K wb, could help
>>2874206
I don't think that's the case - i was indeed on auto this time, but i did quite a lot of those timelapses and it happens in every WB setting possible: on auto, on presets, and on K ones.
Can you upload a few of your original stills so I can look at the EXIF data of them? Pic a frame that has as close to correct color as you can find and another that's red.
Why are lenses round when sensors are rectangular? Could (do?) manufacturers cut round lenses down to rectangles matching the sensor's aspect ratio and reduce lens size and weight?
>>2872545
I suspect you would get strange flaring/ghosting/reflections from the flat lens surfaces.
>>2872545
no.
>>2872553
No what?

you're too high up above your subject, it looks like it was taken at a zoo. aperture is too low to give any bokeh and draw focus to the subject, though there's not much you can do since that looks as wide as your lens goes. didn't appear to do any editing. probably shot in jpg.
also they're all basically just the exact same picture. i know it can be hard to pick the best one when you've taken a bunch, but justdoit.gif. if it's a shit picture when the subject is facing one way, it's still going to be a shit picture if all they did was move...
