I find myself being asked over and over again to share my photos with strangers. I have no interest in sharing my photos, for they are mine.
What should I say when I don't want to share, without seeming rude?
>>2804511
just say you will do it, but never happen
>>2804511
"They are a work in progress that I am developing as part of portfolio series. I'm a perfectionist and I'm not ready to share any images until I have the whole portfolio completed".
...But seriously, stop being such an autist and share a couple of snaps. They will probably be so average that no one will much more than glance at them anyway.
>>2804511
Stop being such a fucking pussy and just say no. Tell them something like "I'm sorry, but this is part of my work and I can't share them with you". It's really not that fucking hard.
Is CaptureOne worth the price tag on it, or should I stick with Lightroom?
>>2804290
If you are shooting with a Sony it is well worth the price.
>>2804345
Or Fuji with the Xtrans.
>>2804366
I'm using a Nikon right now
I tried capturing a shot of my roommate drunk here and my iphones lens doesnt zoom... What do I do? Is there a lens attachment I could get?
>>2804283
I can't give you the attachment specifications without a picture of her tits mate. Also did you fuck her?
>>2804287
Planning on it!

It's an iPhone, therefore there are a fuckton of lens accessories for it. From pricey "real" ones, to cheap Chinese shit.

Almost all MF cameras were made for working pros, so they're designed and built to take a beating. I'm a particular fan of the Mamiya 645 series - nothing so far out of the ordinary, but a number of lenses with no equivalent in other systems, and onward compatible in the digital age.

I don't even know if I need an DSLR but I think I'll get one to try this as a hobbie. As I'm not sure if this will be for me, I want the cheapest one (within reason, I'd pay a little bit more for something clearly better). What my research has shown me its that I could get anything I want and get the same results as I don't have any fucking idea. Later, when I have learned, maybe I could choose better. I know that I'd shoot in poor lightning conditions, and I like skies, stars, city night...

Pentax K-50 with kit lens or Nikon D3300 with kit lens. Maybe Canon 1300D with kit lens.
Try srsmicrosystems.co.uk, they sell used stuff with 1 year warranty.
You travel back in time to when you started photography

Spend that 200 dollars of birthday money on an f100 and a nifty 50 instead of that god awful FM10/kit lens.
Pick up that shitty 35mm canon that's in the basement and use that with the dozens of rolls your neighbor has expiring and get them developed at the local place and not wahlgreens
Keep your negatives you developed from that high school course so you can remember what the fuck you took on them
Wait until the a7s is out and get that
Don't buy that piece of shit Rebel XTi and instead spend the $700 on B&W film.
Keep shooting, don't stop.
How can i take a photo that looks like this?
Also sports photos general.
>>2814710
Get on the side line of a basketball game, shoot fast color film, or a very low resolution digital sensor, lower your contrast, lower your saturation, and tint towards cyan in the mid tones, and lift your blacks.

Thank you for an actual response.

Something looks different about this. Is it medium format?
are there any good trips who currently or used to post here?
is there an index or list cataloguing the /p/ regulars with links to their work?

Some of the best /p/hotogs don't have trips and rarely post. Such as myself :)
Other than Memecam GR users, why is the 28mm focal length so unpopular? It's like everyone has 50mm and 35mm on a pedestal as "le official streettog lens XD" and 28mm is in the corner covered in cobwebs.
Are there even good photographers who use 28mm?

If a camera doesn't have the best of all four of those, it's not a professional camera.
Not that it really matters. You can get excellent results out of entry cameras and shit results out of pro cameras. Just depends if you know how to do anything with it.
>>2809456
is there anything more tragic than shitty shots from a pro camera?
