Does anyone know what camera does Unbox Therapy use?
The quality is so good and the resolution goes up to 4k.
Sony a7ii?
GH4?
I've made a few promo-videos for someone myself with a 6D.
I shoot in auto and get kinda shitty quality, although it's 1080p24fps.
bump for answers

>I shoot in auto
>and get kinda shitty quality
may these two things be correlated?
>although it's 1080p24fps.
do you do any kind of color correction, noise reduction and so on?
I have no clue what camera he's using but from that still his setup includes very good lighting
If you had lightning that good your videos would likely be much better, and if you want to have more possibilities in post...

Much more important than his camera will be the lighting, the lens, the settings, and processing.

So there was a thread on here, a few of them actually, that MEGAPICKLES started about the Trump rally he photographed.
I'm going to a Trump Rally soon, but on the website it says that you can't bring a camera with a detachable lens into the event.
What did Megapickles do? Did they not follow their own rules? Or did you use a camera that didn't have a detachable lens?
And when I go, if they don't let me in because of the camera, should I say fuck it and just stand outside to photograph the violent Bernie supporters?
>>2845549
Megapickels shoots with the R I C O H G R which has a fixed lens. But you should photograph both camps.
>>2845559
What do you mean both camps? Like photograph the Trump Supporters and the ones on the Bernie Gurney?
>>2845561
Yeah, it would be cool to see the Trump and Bernie people. Good luck anon.
Just got back from a two week backpacking trip in Utah/Colorado. Here are a couple shots that I would like some feedback on.

This or the Nikon F3?
Sony A7
That
As an OM shooter, I'm a bit jelly of all the Nikon glass available. That said, I'd still probably pick the OM-4T(i). The metering is apparently pretty genius.
Does anyone know where can i download some free plugins for photoshop?
I'm looking for plugins that are for sale. Most of them doesn't have a trial and I won't buy something if I don't know if I like it. image related

I will be shooting a topless model next week. Any suggestions?
This will be the first for me. How do I not get a boner? The model is bretty much 10/10 and I dont want to look like a total jerk and give that "rapey-rapey" feeling, look all professional, but i'm very nervous and, what if the woody will be visible?
Any suggestions welcome. I really want to work it out between her and me on a professional side cause if the shots will be nice and shes all happy we might do more and more shoots afterwards.
btw we'll be shooting outside

OK, this sort of shit can get serious. Make sure you get contacts done up front. Get a female friend to "supervise" the shoot. It will put the model at ease and help prevent anything bad going down. Considering you're anxious about the sexual side, it's important to help you not appear like a creepy perv photog.

Why are you doing it?
I feel like if you were doing it for money or as something serious for your portfolio that you would be too preoccupied with making photos with the model to be thinking about her tits.

And the start of the transit.
Just did a shoot with someone who had been bitching about my framing and directing. She and her friend offered to do a shoot with pointers and I figure why not. It was "MySpace angles 101" mostly and the kicker was when the friend in question took over to shoot me and couldn't even focus the camera. This woman who shat on me couldn't take a single in focus picture. God knows what she'd have done if I hadn't already set the aperture and everything.
Why fatties gotta fat? Annoying client stories?

If a *non-photographer* is bitching about your framing and direction, your framing and direction are more than likely complete shit.
You're the photographer. It's your job to be able to focus a single picture, not your clients.
Your client didn't fail to perform. You did.
And you could stand to lose a few pounds yourself, buster brown.

So I did my first "official" head shot shoot for a client yesterday.
It was mostly variations of pic related. I liked this one the most out of the bunch.
What is right and what is wrong with this photo? Tear me a new one, please.

Thanks.

I like grain in black and white night pictures, but only when it has a reason to be there (i.e. when you're shooting street pictures and need to use a small apperture like 7.1 or 8; or when you want to capture fast moving objects; or even both at the same time).
Black and white basically makes colour degradation and grain less obvious and ugly, and that allows you to get a shot at 1/160, f/8, iso 12800.
It's just like blurry objects in some of the low light shots, a side effect that in my opinion gives an authenticity hale to the picture. It's about...

Hey guys, newfag here. I have the chance to grab this Zenit camera for like 10 pounds with film included. I have no idea how to process film or anything to do with cameras for that matter, but I think it would be a nice hobby for me to pick up. Should I go for it?
Oh and does this thing take good pictures? if anyone knows
I've only just seen the Gear thread, do what you need to do Mods
>>2845025
>film included
This thing can take pretty good pictures, as almost any slr of those days. But time and lack of proper care can damage it a lot inside. You need to test this camera by yourself.
So it finally happened. Someone stole the Nikon D7000 that i had for over 6 years. At gunpoint. I stupidly tried to find a way to retrieve it later, but obviously to no avail. The problem is that i was booked for a couple of weddings: one this Thursday and one this Saturday. Though i had managed to get along by borrowing a friend's Canon D70 for a while (which i loved), he needs it back, so i'm forced to actually get another Camera for myself
The thing is that i relied too much on my old Camera, so i'm a bit unknowledgeable on which one would suit me best....

I realize this isn't a direct answer to your question but it might be a better option. Instead of buying a cheaper camera just for the next couple of months you could rent a better camera for when you need it. Not only would renting probably save you some money but it would also give you the opportunity to try out a couple different bodies and get a better sense of what you want. I'm not very familiar with camera rentals but I just looked a bit and it seems you could just rent for the time that you need it...
