Nah, you're probably only wrong about 14% of the time.
What is the best camera? Forget the price for a bit, if you could choose one body and one lens what would they be and why?
Latest Hasselblad and some top 30-35mm equivalent lens.
Other option - unlimited time on James Webb Space Telescope

Fujifilm X-T1 is the best camera, my lens choice would be the FUJINON XF 16mm f/1.4 R WR lens, why this lens? Because it is optically perfect and 16mm is the PERFECT and only correct choice for shooting architecture.
An X-Pro2 would be an equally perfect choice depending on your shooting style and the subject with any Fujifilm lens because they are all amazing.

How do yall think this pic was taken? It looks too good to be stitched, i have to assume the camera was held above her arm but like its clearly over here.. yet not in the reflection.. im confused
op here. Nevermind. Its totally stitched. Such an awesome looking pic tho.
Zoom into her left pinky and the reflection is hella 2d. Cant believe i didnt see that earlier
>>2858562
A good trick if you can pull it off is to have someone with almost exactly the same hand as the model to stand between the photog and the model and make him/her touch the model hand, that way it will look like it's a mirror shot. I don't know if i made it clear, if not ask me
>>2858562
It's possible that it's not a reflection. Look at the angle of the arms. The girl we're looking at's arm comes down from above, and then bends hard at the wrist. It's also coming in slightly from right to left (shoulder to hand). The arm closest to us comes up from below, and doesn't look like it's moving over to the left towards us where the shoulder should be. It could just be a strange perspective from where the camera is actually placed messing with me, but I see it as a different...

Are there any good straps I can get for my XT1 that can utilize the circular camera lugs?
I mean, without having to attach the additional triangular parts..
>>2849124
Art and artisan have some that will do the job but they are expensive and arent overly long.
>>2849132
And they take quite a while to wear in.
If you get one of recommend wearing it round your neck all the time until the leather loosens up around the lugs

Serious question. Why is do most people prefer Canon for portrait photography over Canon. I got to meet with a few photographers on salary (they all work at Sephora at SF) to collaborate for an editorial shoot and everyone had either a Mark II or III; my first and only DSLR is the D810 and although I never feel gimped when taking studio pictures, I always wondered why 500px and such is mostly Canon.
>>2859810
>Canon for portrait photography over Canon
stupid mistake, "over nikon"
>>2859810
I don't think as many people truly "prefer" one brand over the other. You get people who are incredibly defensive about their kit in order to shake off the feeling of buyer's remorse but most people don't care that much outside of keyboard warriors and brand whores on the internet.
I think Canon gets a lot more exposure and mention and people in general will be attracted to them because of that, and because they haven't explored alternatives like Nikon, Sony or Pentax.
I...

Canon lost a lot of the market share during the Vietnam War to Nikon which is why Nikon is thing. Canon regained a huge amount of that market share back when they released the first competent digital cameras and some seriously nice telephotos. Since it was a hard switch to the EF mount people had to invest into the system and people are reluctant divest to jump ship to another brand. They've also been around forever giving them a strong sense of stability. Sure the Sony whatever is a great camera but it would...

if i wanted to make 35mm slides for projection, do I need transparency film (which i guess is hard to film these days), or can I just use any standard 35mm film? if not, anyone know where I can go about getting transparency film?
>>2859771
If you use standard 35mm film (Print film) all your colors and tones will be reversed. Blue will look orange, skin tones will look blue-green, and bright skies will look black, and dark things will look light.
For projection, you'd want slide film.
>>2859771
It's called slide film, because it's what you can put in slides right after development.
I'm sure there are ways to get normal reversal film onto slides as well. Obviously you can't use those as slides as they are. I've never even thought about it.
>which i guess is hard to film these days
What does this mean? Harder to find? No, some popular film types today have slide versions, and all the important slide-only film is still around.
You're...

You can shoot negatives and have them printed in slides. That's how filmmakers have been doing for decades.
Unfortunately, you'll need a lab that works with motion picture stock, and unless you have tons and tons of negatives they'll either refuse to do it or take all your money.
There's a relay for life (big cancer fundraiser) going on near me soon and I feel there's a great opportunity for some good photos, however I always feel nervous/anxious whenever I take photos of people. what do
>>2859638
Go out and do it faggot, read up on exposure therapy
Just do it, most people don't give a damn about you taking photos of them if they are on the street. Also they can sense if you are nervous, so relax and you'll look like you really know what you are doing
>>2859649
>people don't care UNLESS YOU'RE NERVOUS DON'T BE NERVOUS
Yeah right. Nobody will even notice you.

guys I think I just invented the perfect universal analog to digital camera back
