For fuck's sake, OP. At least post a damn link so everybody knows what you're talking about.
http://www.theverge.com/2015/11/19/9759620/reuters-raw-photos-ban-worldwide
The thing that pisses me off isn't that they're doing this. It's that this (a) didn't create the problem they are trying to solve, and (b) this won't fix the problem.
Sure, a raw file will give you more latitude in editing, but not for fucking changing an entire photo to something else. If somebody wants to drastically alter a photo---add an element, remove an element, etc.---then they'll still do it with a high res jpg. Reuters has created this bizarre boogie man with raw file formats that doesn't exist.

In the far east side of the Las Vegas valley is Clark County Wetlands Park.
It is a nature preserve with over 300 species of plants and animals. It feels like it should be a thousand miles from Las Vegas.
I took some snapshits. C&C always appreciated from the /p/ros.

What inspires you to shoot street /p/?
For me I'm always interested in shooting couples being sweet like holding each other's hand. I dream of being a pro and shooting engagement photos but I suck and I don't have money for gear.
Anyway >tfw no gf to cuddle with on the way home
>tfw shooting street somehow eases the pain of not having a qt3.14 gf
I only use public transportation, so I'll often encounter something that looks at least semi-interesting on my commutes that take me through the city center. Mostly people doing stuff, like busking, carrying too much or weird stuff, dozing off in odd places... Also interesting objects like drawings on walls and stuff, broken things...
>tfw gf originally suggested I try street when I'd just started to take pictures
>tfw supportive photog gf
>>2718920
I rarely commute and use my car all the time. Whenever I do street I use a film slr so when it gets stolen its okay as compared to using my dslr or phone. There are a lot of thieves nowadays in this city especially since it is almost Christmas.
I hope I have a supportive gf like you man. I'll never get tired of taking iur pictures together like we are in our engagement shoot. Whenever I see couples on the street I feel a bit if loneliness.
I like cities and walking around and I just happen to have my camera with me often and feel compelled to shoot. Also its fun.
That's it really.
Sometimes I do come across some tenderness amongst strangers, lovers and family in public and I dont know its great when that happens. yea OP.
Hi /g/
I'm looking for a software that I can install on my Nikon's sd card that would copy every pictures in another folder. I film police scenes, and I want to have a backup folder if a cop deletes pictures on the DCIM folder.
>>2718084
>Hi /g/
>/g/
You what?
1. This is /p/, not /g/
2. If you're in America, cops can't delete your photos, and they can't make you delete your photos.
3. If you seriously think this is a legitimate concern (pretty sure it isn't, and you're just some kid who is getting his first taste of edgy), get a body that has two sd card slots. It'll automatically make two copies of every image. Someone asks for your card (they won't, but this is hypothetical), you can hand them one and walk away with the second.
But no one's going to do that.
Recently got back into photography after a two year hiatus, those are a couple of shots from the past few weeks.
Please tell me if my shit stinks, /p/.
please tell me everything that sucks about this pic

Any m42 wide angle thats not expensive as fuck?
Nope. Depends on your idea of expensive. Over here, the 20mm MIR goes for $150, that's the bottom line for M42 wide angles, excluding shit fisheyes. Their increasing popularity elevates the prices, they'll only go up as gearfags do their googling. Your best bet is native language slav auction sites, ebay usually sticks to western prices.
>>2715735
>native language slav auction sites
would you post any of these?
>>2715796
The further east you go, the cheaper it gets. Ukraine's a prime bargain land because their currency is plummeting due to the ongoing crisis, horrible and at the same time, oy vey, profittable.
aukro.cz - Czech.
allegro.pl - Polish
aukro.ua - Ukrainian
molotok.ru - Russian, the motherlode of non-german M42 glass, amusingly, their prices often trend with global ebay ones, the greedy cunts.
There are prolly others, that's all I bothered researching so far. Sadly, the cheapest bargains are usually mislabeled or the seller's a mongoloid with no clue what they're selling, so you have to know the language to find them, let alone arrange an international trade with'em.
There's plenty of professional resellers, though, that still offer a bargain price for usd/eur and are more than willing to ship worldwide.
If anyone finds anything I said wrong or something, do pitch in, it'd be appreciated~
mostly been making objects lately, not a lot of new stuff to post. Going through older shoots for giggles to process mantis shots that didn't work for the portraits but I still fun.

I would love to get into darkroom printing but there's two problems:
1. The enlargers you see online for sale are either mangled and broken.
2. I'm too broke to pay for shipping on something that big anyway.
One a somewhat related note: does anyone know what happened to all the Walgreen's photo developing supplies?
>>2713097
I used to do this all the time, but that was about 10 years ago. Shit is so expensive and hard to get now, buying the fix/stop/developer and all of the equipment is the biggest set back.
Still 100x better than digital photography, it takes far more skill IMHO. There's a certain tactile skill to it, something digifags just can't relate to. Any retard can learn to use photoshop, but perfecting techniques like dodging/burning/etc. takes actual talent.
