I really want to get better at photography and I love taking photos and learning more
but I'm just way too fucking lazy and can't be bothered. Photography is hard work and takes a lot of time and effort and repetition to get good at
Any tips for staying disciplined or otherwise regularly taking pics and doing shit?

Stick a prime lens on if you have one, or refrain from zooming(pick a focal length). Go for a walk every day with your camera. No matter where you live, just go out a few kilometres. Don't spam the shutter, try frame things right and take one or two photos. Try different angles decide for yourself if they look good.
Every day change your route and the focal length.
That's what I did. It helps to get a start.

Just do it.
There's no magic trick, you just have to do it.

Recommendations:
1) Go to the gear thread
2) Realize that your lens is perfectly fine, and it's you and your lack of interesting life, and therefore, lack of interesting photos, that is actually disappointing you.
3) Once in the gear thread, describe WHAT ABOUT THE LENS is not satisfying you, so that someone can actually give you advice that isn't just a list of anon's favorite lenses that provides you with zero useful information
Hey /p/,
Anybody knows his camera's model?

If you can give me a good reason for why you care, I'll tell you. I'm holding the same camera right now.
because if i can remove any gear related excuse for being bad, i can start to get better.
I need to change my old reflex
Hey folks
Is there anybody out there who knows a way to achieve this effect? Something along the lines of a leaned out/purple/psychedelic blurry effect is what im after
If anyone was inclined to do this to a photo of mine it would be much appreciated <3
Here's the photo
>>2726092
Not entirely sure. I did this by going into curves and moving up the bottom of red and blue, and moving the top of green to the left, then adding some motion blur. There are a whole lot more shitty effects going on in that image though.

Thanks for the help
hey guys,
weird question.
there are 2 fuji x10 on ebay both sold a defective.
the first comes without battery and is unknown but has some defect.
the second one has a stuck zoom ring.
would it be wise to buy one for say 30€ and have it fixed.
especially the stuck ring , that has to be a mechanical problem and it should be easily fixable , right ?
>>2726060
30 is worth the try
>>2726060
Luckily mine is still working. They are pretty decent. The zoom ring has the on/off switch in it, meaning that to turn the camera on, you have to twist the zoom. I don't really know if that makes the repair more difficult, but getting it stuck on "full", then the camera is permanently on. Don't know more about those, but I thought sharing this might help you.

hey /p/, newfag here, I wanted to know if anyone had a cheap means to find polaroid packs, cause I inherited this sick-ass camera from my granddad and I've been meaning to put it to good use.
gonna bump, sorry.
>>2726021
Polaroid film doesn't exist anymore, so if there are supplies out there, they're expensive. Because they stopped production, Impossible Project has picked it up and is trying to figure out the formulas to get it right. In the mean time, you can but their packs for $746 for 8 photos that look like nut sacks rubbed on a hot skillet.
It's 2015. Do what everyone else who liked Polaroid back in the day does; Get an Instax, and then leave it on your shelf because it's obnoxious, and just use your cell phone.
it seems the picture?/Que les parece la foto?

Shooting birds is really hard, they are so fast and the camera usually miss the AF.
Why hasn't nobody made a sentry tripod with AF tracking abiliies.
All you would have to do is sit behind an ipad. Then choose the target and the composition, then the turret would keep taking pictures the way you configured. Then later all your work would be to get the best ones.
