Also, why is medium format considered better for architecture photography? The resolution argument seems pointless these days and FF has a better selection of tilt shift lenses, what am I missing?

All time imo Julius Shulman. So much architecture photography is very commercial, almost like stock product photography (I guess the main purpose is to sell an idea).
Also, large format is king of architecture photography because of the camera movements (rather than being done because of the resolution). Digital with its tilt/shift has taken over a bit though

As part of a high school media class i teach we do simple stop motion. Please use a better tripod and secure your scene/backdrop so it doesnt look like an earthquake and make your viewer dizzy.
Try more than one angle like you would actually see in a movie. Close ups of faces, wide shots, overhead, point of view, etc.

I grew up and still live near KPIT. always wanted to do more airline stuff. I'm thinking of setting up on a hillside under a common approach path with a view of the runway to do some long exposure stuff if I get a free night during the holiday.
Been a planespotter for a few years now. I'm on a 70D with a 55-250 STM, but am looking at upgrading to a Sigma 150-600. That or a 100-400 mk 1.

the 100-400 is a nice lens. not as long as some of the others, the IS isn't the best, and it the way you zoom in and out makes you feel like you're jerking off an elephant, but it's very sharp.
