The origonal Leica M product line has literally been around forever.
They recently came out with the M 262. priced at a low price for an M, the 262 abandons Live View and Video as well as dropping some weight from the previous 240.
$5K a camera doesn't really make Leica a profitable company alone, though. The volume is simply too low. So they enter other product categories.
Leica S has been around a while (2009. Not bad for Medium Format digital)
This product is targeted at medium format studio photogs -- which is out of Leica's wheelhouse from the M.
$14K isn't cheap, though. And the lenses aren't any cheaper. This is nearly 2* the price of other medium formats.
Leica D-Lux is pretty new. It's targeted at anybody who wants a pocket camera with the Leica name on it. With a Micro 4/3 sensor, the quality may be nice. Who knows.
That said, it's priced at $1.1K
This thing is more expensive than the full-frame sony RX1. Kind of crazy.

if lightroom or adobe camera raw, use the adjustment brush and turn up colour denoising, might also improve with lowered clarity slider
in black and white, lighter colours appear softer so make red / yellow brighter after (after!) colour denoise since colour will factor in the luminosity in the black and white conversion
Are you talking about in general or this specific photo?
On that pic it's just good light and the photographer's good understanding of light and metering/exposure.

I broke a camera this way. It's very very difficult. The wires bonded to the sensor are disgustingly fragile. There are some threads on astronomy forums about this.
