Didn't see one in the catalog.
Any recommendations on good flashlights?
>Low price for poor fags
>High price for rich fags
I'm looking for a low price decent 18650 flashlight.
>>
a buddy of mine recently got on of these http://www.amazon.com/UltraFire-Zoomable-Flashlight-Torch-18650/dp/B00EP60VDG he says its great for the price

Part of the reason I started this thread $15 seems cheap. But then I haven't bought a flashlight worth a shit in like 8 years.
Back then a 200 lumin led flashlight was $50 or more.
So $15 seems like it will break easily.
I very well could be wrong though.
Plus 18650 batteries worth a damn are usually $15 each.
>>
>2005+11
>not using AA

Don't be a fag and get a normal battery.
>>
>>704852
Why?
18650 holds a long charge and can be recharged.
Then I'm not buying batteries constantly

Headlamps is superior to flashlights for /out/ use in pretty much every way. Get a Petzl or Black Diamond. It is a blessing to have both hands free when you manipulate things at night in your camp.
>>
>>704880
But I want a flashlight. Not a headlamp. I already have a headlamp, Lanterns, and a light stand.
>>
>>704883

Get a thrunite tn12. If you need a headlamp, you can buy a a separate strap that allows the light to be attached....Or just buy a thrunite head lamp. Highly rated, bright as fuck, made out of metal and not shit plastic like all others.
>>
I use only Headtorches. I always carry 2 of them, because I'm scared to break one and be light less. The main one is a Black Diamond, pretty expensive but OP as fuck. The other one is a Petzl, pretty cheap but still a very good headtorch.
Don't buy a headtorch that doesn't have a red filter or a red LED. Trust me.

I don't understand what's the point of a flashlight. I mean, there's literally no advantage over a headlamp, for a very simple reason :
You can carry your headlamp on your hands, but you can't use your flashlight on your head.
>>

You can use you're flash light on your head, there plenty of light weight, bright as fuck lights that allow to be attached to a bill or a hat. Or as it was stated earlier, get a strap that allows you to attach a light.

Your flashlight on your head* auto correct keeps doing your to you're.

Yes, but metal on skin is not a nice thing, especially not in winter, and having controls that are designed to work with gloves on is another big plus.
Face it, everybody that goes /out/ on a regular basis rocks a Petzel or BD for a reason.

Any cheap recommendations for /out/ reading?
>>
>ask for 18650 flashlight
Naw dude get a head lamp
>but I already have a headlamp
Bro get a headlamp!!!!
>b-but I just want a flashlight
NO!!!! YOURE GETTING A HEADLAMP!!!
>>
Just buy a cheap LED flashlight that goes on your keychain. I bought one for $10 and it's been on me for about 7 years now. Only takes a single AAA battery.
>>
Niteforce P12GT for the high price category.

Nice well thought out dimming modes plus a lot of throw for when you want to see a long way. Seems plenty tough from ~6 months of use. Uses 18650. Can be had direct from China on Aliexpress for about $50.

Before anyone sperges out: I use a headlamp for general shit around camp and for low light navigation, but I don't always want a light clamped to my forehead. Also no healamp has the throw of a P12GT.

Thrunite T10
>>
>>705191

That looks very cool, thanks.
>>
>>704883
If you already have all those then why do you also need a flashlight?!, I carry a headlamp that can be detached from the strap in next to no time and serves as a flashlight, why not just get one like that and save weight?
>>
Well.... This thread was informative.

hey. i EDC that light. it is pretty nice.

The battery life is not amazing (2-4hr). that's pretty much the same for any high lumin 1 cell light.

It can use AA or the 3.7v lithium

Pic is mine. It's all chewed up cuz it spends its time in my back pocket getting ground against my multi tool.
>>
>>705941
So not a massive pile of shit?
Even at $15?
>>
>>706149
Not him, but in my limited experience of two of them, it's hit or miss. One has a spotty connection and flickers a lot, the other has been great so far.
>>
>>706155
This is what I expected.
>>
>>705160

I disagree, I think he should just get a fucking headlamp!
