Yeah, Long Dark is GOAT. Wish they hadn't decided to split story mode into episodes however.

afaik the story mode switches protagonists between the episodes..... i hope they add the "other" survivors soon, i bet trappers homestead and misanthrope island are then occupied with hostile folks

I'm super excited. Once the developers mentioned that the art direction for the game was inspired by 60's-70's National Parks posters, I knew I had to own this game.
I don't really do vidya, but I loved Slender. My woods is eactly like that, it's uncanny as fuck. The silo, the tree, the truck, the rock formation. I have all that shit in my woods. Really struck a nerve and made me love it and spüpt me right the fuck out

I suddenly went from knowing about this game, but not really caring to suddenly wanting this game. More games need to allow you equip a turtle as your primary weapon.
