Done tons of climbing and investigsting old buildings and train tracks. Also know the entire storm drain system of my city. I can travel 10 miles across my city without being seen at all. You have to keep moving though because you run out of oxygen quickly in the tunnels and get dizzy.
I had these cacti for a pretty long time now, but around 2 years ago, some kid fucking mutilated one of them (the one on the right) with a knife. Ever since, it never really healed and i'm not even sure if it's still doing fine. Is it still healthily alive or have i wasted 2 years of my life watering a dead cactus?
>caring about plants
RIP cactus
Unfortunately mercy kill is the only humane course of action at this point
Hey /out/, I need some help.
I just invited a girl to go camping/possibly backpacking to pic(related)tured rocks in a couple weeks.
Last summer I did a bunch of camping and backpacking with my brother. The only problem is he was the one who bought all the stuff/told me what to buy/planned it all.
I'm looking to buy backpacking equipment so I can start going on my own. I'm not looking for the super expensive stuff, but not the cheapest either. Probably going to go for a couple days.
Any advice for a good pack? Also what else will I need...

Post what you remember taking last time maybe?
What do you do in this situation /out/?
Keep in mind you just chucked your driver into 4ft of untamed and overgrown foliage.
Do you call the phone number on the back of the disk and/or drop it off at the lost disc collection box
Or do you take what is rightfully yours, it's the nature of the sport.
>>788741
Wut? It's a frisbee. Who cares.

This throwing knife doubles as marijuana pipe.
Every day we stray further from the gods light...
probably only useful as a bowl and not an actual knife. I prefer my one-hitter for the trail since it looks like a cigarette. much stealthier than smoking out of a fuckin knife.
>>787820
But what if you needed to stab a nig trying to steal your stash... Like right then.. You could just like *whatchaaa!* and stab em.
Pic related will always be my number one.. Bulky, inefficient item that could easily be replaced by a spare battery, power bank, hand crank, or not needing the phone in the first place.

That's what we need is a bunch of high people holding knives up to their faces and then trying to pass them blade first to the person on their left.

I should've gotten out fishin' this afternoon since it was nice and cloudy all day. Had to catch up on that Sunday night DVR action though. Silicon Valley amirite? Maybe tomorrow I can get off work at a reasonable time. It's nice that the June sun stays up until close to 9pm, but that means I get home from sunset fishing way too late when I have to wake up at 4:30am.

Anybody else have an opinion on this? >>787478
Mostly for leaders, but I'm curious if anybody has run it as main line too. I use Vanish for leaders, and had #4 Vanish on an ultralight but ended up going to braid because it is so much easier to work with. Vanish hasn't failed me for leaders, but in another 5 years when I finally kill that 250yd spool of #20 Vanish, I may try something else.
>>787506
i use 15 lb stren flouro for pickerel leaders, and it works great, have had some big pickerel on there that havent bit through, , though ive had pickerel go clear through 8 and 15 lb mono easily , waay too stiff to use as a main line
I just got a new pair of hiking boots and sprayed them down with NeverWet. How well does it work? Am I going to be impressed or disappointed?
>>787460
Just remember that there's no such thing as being really waterproof. Just water resistant.
My boots have a sympatex liner. No leaks yet, but I haven't really tested them too hard. Puddles and streams mostly.

I bought the Bass Pro RedHead brand spray like that for my knock-off Tims.
One application helped a little, but after two applications and it got much better. My main problem was the morning dew soaking into the fake leather or whatever they are made of. If I totally submerge them, my socks will still get wet. But I can now walk around the grass in the morning for an hour or two without getting wet socks. And I sprayed them quite a few months ago and haven't had to do it again yet.
tl;dr:
Don't...

What light to do use for your /out/ activities?
I've been using a Fenix E21 for years and it's done the job, and I was planning on buying another to leave in my car but it turns out they're discontinued. So now I'm thinking about buying a Fenix LD09(pic related) but wanted to see if there were any better alternatives.
I don't actually have a picture of it because it's laying in my truck, but I've been using this streamlight for a little more than a year.
Just clip it somewhere on your chest or belt and go, the clip is actually pretty sturdy, I've even run and had it stay on me. It has a good beam, there are better lights indeed, but this has never left me wanting.
I know what you're thinking, and a head lamp would probably serve me better as far as wearable lights go, but I am subject to the rule of cool, as we all are.
>>785813
Princeton Tec headlamp and little LED MagLite that runs off 2xAA batteries. I already collect fishing lures, no need to waste any more money on tacticool flashlights and knives.
>>785813
My favorite light is a nitecore P12GT.
Great throw and adjustable.
Anybody know anything about his knife?
>>785102
Made by western, that's all I know
>>785102
That is an old paratrooper knife made by camillus is the 1950s that was adapted into a hunting knife by an individual person
>>785145
There aren't any markings on it as fat as I can tell. What about it makes it a camillus?
