Lichthof. How would you make more natural light in this kind of small and dark place like "lichthof", if you would live on the ground-level, and only you could go out to this "tiny beton garten"?
Where is this "Lichthof" common? Isn't just in Germany?
It's all in the title, post your jobs. Whether they're what you've done/ you're doing/ want to do. I've worked with the NPS doing basic surveying jobs and trail maintenance for a few summers in high school. Which, considering the park is built around a huge trail, I got my share of gear hauling in.
Anyway, post jobs and descriptions, I'm sorta looking for something to do next.

But seriously do a guide course at either state or private reserve. Then do the field hikes with tourists trying to keep the K/D ratio down between lions and Chinese tourists.

Yeah, one chuck of my job for a month was tracking down planted trees from years before. The span of the trees were over 8 miles in either direction and the GPS just didn't work. Although I'm guessing dedicated planters would have good equipment.
Is it gay if me and my friend ride a tandem bike together to uni? We dont have enough money to buy two seperate bike and it'll help us bond more. We're both not gay, however we both dont have girlfriends but we arnt gay.
just need to know
Totally not gay. You should do it OP.
Really fuckin gay.

>tandem
>not enough money
Aren't tandem bikes about 800-1500?
That's plenty to buy two separate bikes. I think you're gay
Found an old camp near me that's no longer used. It's about a mile up the road from where I am, and is about 500 acres of land with about a 25 acre lake.
Was able to talk to the land owners, who don't live close, and they gave me permission to hike the area and check it out.
Several old lodges and cabins are there. It served as a boys camp from the 1890s to as recent as 2012.
Looking forward to it soon. Will post pics.
More of detail of the map.
Red is the dirt road that I travel to the property. Only a handful of houses on the entire road.
Blue is the closed off access road to the camp which is overgrown some.
Grey is the 500 acres of the camp.

Do any /out/doorsmen ski? I just got back from my annual ski trip.
I'm actually working at a lodge this winter.
I've skiied more in the last month than most people will ski all year.

I need help, sc/out/s!
I bought two beef hearts to make a plain (no seasoning or salt) jerky for pemmican, dried at 115F for about 24 hours, until pliable but cracking. I packed it into quart bags. That was several days ago. I went to try some today, and some pieces have a yellowish white powder on them. Google results list mold, salt deposits and tyrosine crystals as being the most common causes. It doesn't smell like mold, but I didn't salt them. Heart may be higher in tyrosine than most cuts because it's so lean, but I don't know. I don't...

When in doubt, throw it out.
Food poisoning is a nasty thing to have when /out/
what is the single most degenerate thing a man could do on a mt everest summit?
i'll be trying to reach one next summer and i need ideas on what to do when i'm up there
spend your time looking at your smartphone and never take in the sights
listen to obnoxious music on your headphones like you're bored and want to do something else
>>661917
This
I would also smoke a blunt and drink a 4-pack of Steel Reserve tall boys at the summit to celebrate.

Hey /out/ I'm havin some issues. I need to get back into school, but I can't really do a 4 year university in my situation. Is there anything outdoors/nature oriented that I can get from a trade school or community college?
Sorry for the pic, phone tends to flip them
>>664309
Probably, but it depends on where you are. I'd recommend checking out what your nearby Community College(s) has to offer. A Good thing to aim for would be getting an AA at the community college and then transfer to a 4 year to get a BA.
Man, trades are a great way to go.
Be an electrician, make great coin
Is it safe to eat seriously damaged/hamburgerized grouse meat?
I shot one through the top of the breast and it messed it up pretty bad.
I was going to slow cook them anyways...think it'll matter?
I'd do it. I hunt ptarmigan and grouse. Don't have any pictures of my kills on my phone though.
OP here.
Yeah, consensus from the mates seems to be go ahead. I finally got sloppy with my .22lr shooting and missed the headshot, but since they're faster bullets at closer range I don't think I have to worry about eating hemorrhaged meat- it seems in birds your biggest worry is consuming shot fragments.
Enh, if I get appendicitis from eating a bullet fragment I'll let you all know.
>>663882
>.22lr

Are you using hollow points or something?
You really should switch to solid points if you don't want to completely fuck the meat up on small game.
Anyone here have one of these things? What are some of your impressions?
I use it to carry matches as my edc. We had to burn some boxes and shredded paper at the office. Looks good not to tactical but still functional. Few people have asked me what it was and liked it
I also have a house key. It opens my hose and works pretty good. Maintenance is also minimal.
>>661089
matches?
Anybody catching anything? I'm waiting for it to ice up so I can trap some muskrats in their huts. Until then I'm trapping weasel.
>>648858
I dont have any traps out. Because of fur prices down.
I was told raccoon was only going to get $2 and that's not enough to make any money.
I did build 5 weasel boxes like yours, but it's been so warm I am not sure the fur will be good. Waiting for colder temps,
My friend did get a river otter.
>>648858
Is that rabbit fur for bait?
And how is that stick holding it in place?
And what is the black thing wrapped around the post?
Thanks for the thread. I'll check back later.

:(
The lake where I fish has finally opened for ice fishing.
There is a guide that rents a tent and gear for 40 bucks a day.
I think I will try it this year.
Any tips?
I will be targeting pike and rainbows
Dress warm
>>662199
There's nothing wrong with a tent, but it kinda takes something from the experience. Ice fishing is at its best when the sun is shining and it's calms.
>Any tips
Use thick line, there's nothing worse than snapping the line when ice fishing.
>>662206
>Use thick line
The biggest fish I could hope to catch is about a 50 inch pike.
Providing I use braid or steel leaders , what pound test should I be using?
I enjoy taking showers spanning multiple hours, and have noticed that I never get thirsty when in there. Clearly, sufficient amounts of water must be absorbed through the skin.
Is this principle applicable when going /out/?
Consider having an insulated water tank (a thermos, like one you keep coffee in) attached to each of your boots. The water would be body temperature so would not make you freeze, and it would also ensure you get hydrated enough when you're on long hikes. Drinking from a bottle would literally become unnecessary.
To make a simple...

Good god you're retarded. Thirst mostly comes from a dry mouth. If the humidity is 100+% you're not going to get a dry mouth until severely dehydrated.
>>658876
Skin breakdown on long hikes would be a thing.
>>658876
You should post this on /sci/ and have them rip on you instead of /out/.
Is this backpack good cuz i bought it and now waiting for delivery
>>663048
No, it's cheap and probably sucks a little.
But it's also cheap, so who cares? Just enjoy it till it rips apart and buy something else.

Alice bag is cheap too, one of the best backpacks out thete
