I will be soon driving a car and I don't want to be that noob that doesn't know what he's doing.
Is there a site/community that talks about the part of cars and its functions?
>>13901669
lurk on /o/
>>13901669
Yeah it's called /o/. Hang around here for a few months, you will be an expert on everything automotive. We're very friendly and accepting of new people, especially those with obscure tastes and learning disabilities. Lots of our users have autism, down syndrome, or like anime, so we're accustomed to those with mental disabilities.

:^)
Cheap car, just need for a DD. Is this rust fixable? I feel like a wire brush will just destroy it.
Looks pretty close to the window meaning you may have to remove the window, grind back the rust and repaint and reinstall the window.
>>13901606
you can get a rustless falcon dirt cheap enough as it is, are you really that tight arsed that you need a rusty one?

$600, 190k odo. For the Mrs.
Will I be able to drive a manual car with a bum left leg and pretty substantial Rheumatoid Arthritis in my right hand?
I was wondering if it'd be worth it to get a manual or just keep the current autotragic Corolla?
yolo
just try it with a dealership car
>>13901465
I'm a bit worried about fucking up a transmission during a test drive.
If it makes any difference, it's already fairly painful to go from park to drive in my current car, I wouldn't know how it'd be constantly shifting in an urban setting.
>>13901459
Not in traffic, look for a car with an autostick, I'd suggest smg but they might be out of a Corolla owners price range.
>I'm poor too
If any of you want to go see some exotics tomorrow morning, the 1 year anniversary of the DC Exotics event. There will be many Lamborghini's, I now for a fact a orange McLaren P1 freshly imported, and much much more. It starts at 11, and I will be posting iPhuck pictures when I get back.
It's also a free event, gonna dump a few from the last one
Thoughts on the 3G Eclipse?
Considering getting the one one of my managers are selling.
2000
Manual
>>13901358
It's a FWD shitbox.
Expect most of them to be maintained like shit because "sports" car.
Not fast enough to be good, not good looking enough to be good, it isn't a good platform, and you can find better cars for the price.
>>13901375
It's not like I deserve better.
It's either this or a '94 Accord.
Whats /o/ opinion on the 300zx? thinking of getting one, is it good for daily rides?
>>13901210
How small are your hands?
>>13901210

>>13901216
No humans hands are small enough.

Most likely this
>Cadillac (and other american "luxury" brands) honestly think they can compete with the germans.
>assblasted eurokek keeps making threads to try and prove something
America is laughing at you and all your dirty refugees
Hey /o/! I recently bought my first car, it's a shitty 2001 Pontiac Grand Prix. What can I do to make it run better / faster? I know almost nothing about cars, but I would like to learn.
hot air intake, raising springs, side mirror delete
>>13901029
>hot air intake
>raising springs
How would I go about doing either of those? I'm not even entirely sure what they are.
>>13901048
hot air intake keeps the engine at an optimal temperature warmer than stock for maximum efficiency
buying bigger springs makes the ride smoother so more power actually gets to the wheels
Today marks the end of the 5th gen Camaro production
Probably will go down as one of my all time favorite cars. The 6th gen appears to be an internet shit posting sensation though, and undoubtedly will be better than the 5th gen in everyway.
Post whatever the fuck you want ITT, I guess preferably Camaro's
not your blog tripfaggot
take it to >>>/soc/
>>13900969
>A post about cars on /o/
>about an auto related event

Need some help o.
Got pic related and when I turn on the flashers, the light stays on and doesn't flash.
Would I just need a new flasher fuse? I'm unsure.
>>13900782
Most likely flood damage. Better off getting rid of it and buying a civic
>>13900782

>>13900829
Nice meme. I've had the thing for ~20 years.

This will be my first time changing my front brakes and rotors myself. I am mechanically inclined, I am a carpenter and engineer. It doesn't look to hard to do. What tools do I need, tips and tricks for doing the work, and should I do anything else while I'm down there?
Tools I already have:
Floor Jack
Jack Stands
3/8 inch drive ratchet
1/4 inch drive ratchet and socket set
6 inch C clamp
JIS bit set
Plus various other tools
Max Brakes Elite xDS rotor and brake set (Are these good?)
Tools I am planning on buying:
3/8 inch...
Comment too long. Click here to view the full text.
Shit's easy. If you've got a friend with you it can make it a little easier/faster so long as they aren't a dipshit.
easy job, on par with oil change.

>Is TEXTON a good brand for beginners on a budget?
Brand of what?
Get a factory service manual, it will tell you everything there is to know.
So I had a drunk idea about opening a bar dedicated to drunk driving. What are some car related drinks?
Tell me what you think of my ideas:
55 Mercedes Le Mans: A regular Kamikazee except served on fire.
Don't blame me if they're terrible I've been hitting the 151 since like 6. What are you fagg/o/ts drinking?
Top Fuel: 190proof everclear served straight up and consumed at a rate of 60gal/hour flat ou
Alternatively just a Friday night chill thread/funny thread.
The Go-Baby-Go would be from our classic reserve of Four-Lokos when they still had kick.
Should I get the TRD body kit and quad exists for my 86?
Already got a supercharger on it, intake etc so now looking for aesthetic modifications
>>13900511
This is literally one of the worst places to ask for advice about the GT86.
>>13900511
Personally I find the TRD body kit pretty ugly, up to you though. Same for the quad-tips.
What the 86 really benefits from is better fitted wheels and a small duck tail.
Get a Tomei titanium exhaust
it'll probably cost less than any TRD shit, while being way lighter and probably better sounding
