Is this bad because it will crack your windshield?
What's up /o/, My turbo blew awhile back and I finally have the cash to get a new one.
I have the choice of spending $400 on a used garrett S14 GT28 with steel braided lines from a known trusted seller, Or I can get the S15 GT28r with about 50 more hp for $830 brand new.
Which one would you go with? Buying used turbos is pretty sketch but he sells quality parts.
>pic related it's the used turbo, he says ''minimal play'' and there's no scrapes on the inside of the housing or anything.
>>13954719
hmm id prolly go with the new one, you never know what ur gonna get online
Get the one that means you don't need to pay for a retune...
>>13954778
I don't need a retune for either one, I already have a fuel management tune.
So what's the deal with Sport/Performance Air Filters? Do they improve throttle response or is that bullshit?
I drive a Seat Ibiza 1.4 with 63 kW. Don't get me wrong, I know it's a slow as shitbox but it's my DD and Europoor so no high kW car because of insurance; I don't want to "tUn3" it, I just want a better throttle response.
>>13954551
to do that they would need to have better airflow than the factory
presumably sacrificing some filtration ability
>>13954551
>So what's the deal with Sport/Performance Air Filters?
They don't restrict the airflow as much as regular filters so there should be an improvement in throttle response. On paper. Depends a lot on the condition of the rest of your car. Don't expect much gain if any at all. What's the point in gaining 1-2% on an 85 hp car?
>>13954579
Yea, that's what I thought. I don't want to fuck up my engine with dirt only because the filter is """sport"""
So some guy spit rocks up from behind his truck while he drove by me (He was spinning his rear tires and drifting around in the gravel+snow covered road) and completely cracked the ever living shit out of my rear window. How do i fuck this guy over the most with insurance and shit? I have all the info i need but everything was closed sunday so i couldn't claim it. Also i have to miss work as a delivery driver because of this and i'm fucking pissed. Thanks
I live in BC if that helps anything
File lawsuit

Carbomb him

You have a recording that will stand up in court? If no, you're fucked.
ok, so I have an inverter to run tech shit in my car, but it runs through the cigarette lighter. could I just connect it direct to the battery without it burning out or anything?
>>13954411
Some one could, but you couldn't.
>>13954420

>>13954440
No. I'm not really reflective.
Hi /o/I'm currently converting a T-65 X-Wing star fighter to all-thruster-hyperdrive, using a an Isu-Sim SSP05 hyperdrive generator and running the Konesayr TLB power converter upside down.
The engine I'll be using is a Quadex Series 44 power core, which I will be detuning with a single Incom N2I-4 generator due to New Republic hyperspace regulations.I'm currently cutting the power core tunnel, and my hydrospanner is a piece of shit, does anyone have any tips here? I've gone through 6 of these fucking ion cores, all they do is explode into pieces.

No, delete this thread you faggot

>>13953751
No.
>asplain
Can't, other than that they've stayed a consistent price for YEARS, and the fandom for rotaries is niche as fuck.
I would hazard a guess that most people looking at FD's want to drop a v8 into them, and then move on to easier, and better cars.
I like the FD, but all it's really got is looks, and rarity of those looks.
Everything the FD can do can be done by the SA22/FB and FC for cheaper, aside from looks and how hard they are to...
