Quick Summary: 426 Packard is running and driving, Dad has a 440 6bbl Road Runner. Sounds like a recipe for fun.

"I'm gonna go check on the Packard, need to see if I can take it for a spin."
"Packard?" you hear Dad ask Carpenter
In the hangar sits both the Packard and the Chrysler, the latter of which is being worked on.
You walk around the Packard to take a look at the exhaust, didn't have an exhaust when you bought it so you don't...

Dad and Carpenter get into the Road Runner chuckling, you both keep it sensible on the dirt entrance road and out onto the main road, somehow resisting temptation to peel out. After a few seconds Dad downshifts.
"Meep Meep!"
A) Match whatever speed Dad does.
B) Try to pass him.
C) Sandbag like crazy, it's just an old Packard after all.
D) Go on to the Lassiter's. Slowly.

Hey ya'll.
I am going to bu my girlfriend a truck/suv, right now I am trying to decide between Toyota and Nissan. Anyone wanna give their 2 cents about why or why not, good years, etc or other option I am not considering.
I should state that if you are going to recommend a Jeep, please go strangle yourself with your winch.
Dodge Nitro.
>I am going to buy my girlfriend a truck/suv
Setting yourself up for a messy break up.

2007 g6 3.5 power steering cooling line/return line leaking, I know how to disconnect it but, how do I get it out of there and get the new one back in it's extremely tight and no way that I can see to work it around all the shit it needs to fit around without damaging the new line...any experience or tips/tricks?

1. Pop the hood.
2. Snap pics
3. Post pics
4. Then we'll talk
Here is a schematic of it #13
>get in
>turn on the car
>put it in drive
>drive to the junkyard
>get out
>walk home
fixed
A buddy is thinking of selling me his 1987 nissan D21 for $500. It has around 300,000 miles and a bad alternator. Good buy?
(pic is not the truck)
you could probably scrap it for not much less than $500
It will scrap for 300. A friend would not sell it for much more than scrap at that milage but if it runs with a full battery do it.
>>13972494
Yeah, it runs fine. The alternator went out this past week and he wants to sell it to get an 07 335i. I've been looking for something to replace my 2011 aveo5
Shoop it, MS paint it, just fix this mess.
>>13971354
You can really see the Buick influence.
LOL China
It doesnt even look that bad. Maybe sweep the mose hit thats about it. Itd just be an m3 clone
I'm bored and feel like messing around in photoshop so I'll do a few.
WE STRAYA NOW

Was drifting in snow and hit a curb... killed my rim and broke the lower ball joint and damaged the steering knuckle. Anyone else fuck up like this? Pic related but not my car.
>>13971258
Ahh shitty man. I've always drifted around in snow but so far I haven't fucked up hard at all. Can you afford to fix it or is it just gonna have to sit for a while.

Thanks for the reminder why I drive a 40 year old car.
>>13971258
You should have added a cat to this story. Thanks for your honesty.
Why isnt there more cars with popups like pic related?
>>13970936
Those are called hide away or other names. Not pop-ups.
>>13970936
Those are hideaway, popups actually pop up.
Nobody has them or popups anymore because they are no longer constrained to standard round or square headlights and can now make the headlights flush with the body. Plus, it's one less thing to break and go wrong, the overall aerodynamics are improved, etc...
They may come back as a trend for awhile, but for the most part those days are long gone.
>>13971961
I thought it was because of crash stuff. Pedestrians not being able to take a nap comfortably on popups or something.
my mother says i'm stupid for getting a hummersine and that a sedan is more reliable. how do i prove her wrong? its my first car and i need something i can use to get to university and home while still having a lot of cabin space, and i figured this was the best choice.
also was thinking of using it on the track for weekends. should i get stiff coilovers?

by putting something equally as shitty and less practical out there so soccer moms feel that much better about themselves.
Hey /o/, I recently (like last month) bought a Miata (with 110k miles on it and yes its a short nose crankshaft, call me an idiot).
Well, after a bunch of repairs that the poor little miata needed, it now won't idle correctly.
If you put it in neutral it idles at 1,000RPM and feel like its about to stall. Once I rev it up to like 2k, everything smooths out. Any idea what could be causing this? I'll be monitoring this thread and providing answers to questions you might ask.
>>13970387
bump
What repairs did u do? Did u do them Urself?
>>13970387
I had a situation where I clamped a hose between the clamp and my intake which made the car idle real rough/stumble and then stall after a few feet of driving. Might be worth checking behind yourself if you did the repairs.
