I have a lease that's going to end in August (btw never lease a car, that was a goddamn mistake) but I also own a NA Miata.
I have a commute that's 56 miles a day that involves heavy traffic which can be stop and go mostly. Im putting $2k away each month and by say November I should have around $10k. I was looking for a high mpg vehicle within that price range.
I could daily the miata but the safety and high miles it has is a bit concerning (158k).
Would you recommend any reliable, high mpg cars that that might work for me? In...

The way I see it, its a lot like rent a apartment. You pay money into it and never get ownership, but sometimes all you need is a car to move from home to work and back again. You never need to fix it, you never need to worry about it, and in a year or three you move onto a new model with all the bells and whistles.
Just like renting an apartment, when the roof leaks I don't need to do anything other than call up the landlord.

Is that a real bus?
If so, how is that practical or efficient? At most it can seat 13 people, including the driver. A Ford Transit or similar can seat up to 15 and have a much smaller powertrain. Plus it already exists. Someone would have had to design that to some extent. Why would the bus company do that knowing their competition is far superior. It's not like it's more off-road worthy or anything.

In the USA literally the only hot hatches I can even think of in that price range that are worth considering will be the Golf GTI or Fiesta ST. Although I feel like I must be forgetting one.
If you're willing to buy an older model year instead, golf R or the previous gen WRX hatches (2011-2014) would be in your budget.

taking my driving test in a couple hours. Live in america, texas specifically. For anyone who has taken one recently, what exactly do they test you on when it comes to the road test? I have decent driving experience. All I know about is seatbelt, mirrors, turn signals, parallel and regular parking, general road awareness.

It's basically just making sure you remember what you were taught in driver's ed and that you can handle the car. Expecting normal driving around, stopping/turning at red lights, parallel parking, backing up in a straight line, choosing the right lane, etc. Try to drive "by the book" rather than what makes sense in reality. I got penalized for "stopping in a crosswalk" when if I hadn't I wouldn't have been able to safely see around traffic.

So I've been looking to get an upgrade over my FRS and there are a few cars out there that have caught my eye. I was looking at the 370z but the fact is that car is old as fuck and needs a redesign and even the interior looks outdated at this point.

Why though? The V6 runs 0-60 in 5.1, the quartermile in 13.5, has an insanely good price point, a high revving fun engine, a great transmision, a really nice interior.
Like I don't understand this mindset. Yes the V8 is better, and yes I have the money to get the V8. But how do you justify spending like 10,000$ more for it? Why would you even buy a V8 Camaro for 40,000$ when there are better options?

What are your opinions on the Hyundai Equus?
I have a gut feeling that I want this car. I think it offers a good amount of features for the least amount of money while compared with it's other competitors like S-Class, 7 series, LS, etc which makes me say Hyundai kind off nailed it.
