What cars aren't Subaru but give a Subaru experience?
I'm in a country with lots of snow. I don't want a Subaru
>>14097436
Subaru ftw
AFAIK VW/Audi/BMW use some pretty good AWD systems. If I didn't go with subaru... well I did, and it rocks. But otherwise I'd get a VW
Pre 95 quattro wagons
>jacking up car
>rotating top of jack that's holding the car breaks off
>car falls and the jack leaves a long deep gash up the door
JUST

Off to the body shop tomorrow. There goes $200-300
>>14097345
Don't buy jacks from Harbor Freight next time.
>>14097345
How...how exactly were you jacking it up?
>>14097353

>>14096974
IMHO 540i or bust......
>>14096974
>low miles
what are they?
>>14096979
I think something around 70k
Minimum HP that you'd recommend for a standard-transmission beginner?
>>14096524
depends on the weight of the car to be honest.
>>14096524
i miss the 90s
There aint no minimum, fool.
The less power you have as a teenager the better, trust me.
Or maybe you're already grown up and learning manual? Still, a low powered car isn't going to cause any problems unless you're tyring to take off fast from the lights. Repeated hard launched WILL fuck up a clutch
I like honda civics but i hate front wheel drive
What are some substitutions
the long midship accord
the es too gay
ridgeline lol
Darude Sandstorm
>>14096459
Accords are front wheel drive too c.c

You sit in back of the bus or the front?
Why wasn't the MR2 really much tuned? They were around 240 HP factory
>Weren't that expensive
>RWD
>Engine in the back
it seemed like a abandoned car, most people drive it stock
Some do the engine swaps
But like spoon to the honda civic
Why wasnt there a company brand pushing it & tuning it makes not even sense
>>14095345
why was there never a corolla tuning as much as civic?
when corollas went FWD it feels like everyone dropped them
because they will snap oversteer and kill you with only 240 HP. They don't need any more.
>>14095351
Couldnt they have fixed that?
ITT: Things that non car people say about your car.
>You're only 20? How do you afford a car like that?
>I didn't know ''''Honda'''' made sports cars.
>>14095261

Non-car people: "90's Cadillacs are shit, man."

Time for a p/o/litical thread.
State who you intend to vote for and what vehicle you think most represents your candidate, feel free to make fun of other candidates with shit cars.
This isn't Facebook or reddit stop acting weird, dude.
confirmed trumpmobile
I would vote Bernie
>cuck
Entirely correct, but better than being a corporate whore without a soul (Hillary) or a manchild blowhard (Trump).
No idea what Bernie would drive. What cars do black people make?
Is the "you don't have to change your oil every 3000 miles" a truth, or just a meme?
You have people out there saying you don't have to change your oil until every 4000, 5000, or even 6000 miles, and the 3000 mile mark is just there to increase oil sales and raise mechanics' profits.
What does /o/ think about this?
My Focus has a 20000 km (12500 mile) oil change interval. Apparently this is perfectly normal here in Germany. It's mechanically the same car that's sold in the US.
Do we have better oil? Or just different user manuals?
I reckon up to 10k, good quality oil will be fine. What car are you on about anon?
>>14094601
that sounds about right for a new car here in the US. I know a lot of GM cars don't even specify a change interval and just say to use the "oil life meter" which usually ends up telling you to change it ~10k miles
>>14094589
the truth is that oil is just a lot better nowadays than it was even 15 years ago. The 3k oil change will die with the baby boomers. It's totally unnecessary
Can a 1999 corolla handle power gains on an auto?
I decided I want to make it a fun little canyon sleeper, but I don't know if I want to shell out and buy a used one with a manual.
What's the engine size Anon? Ex Toyota Technician here... Can't see why it'd be a problem...
Get a stick, then upgrade brakes + suspension +tires, then flywheel +clutch, then engine.
>>14094591
1999 Corolla's only came with one engine. The 1.8L 1ZZ-FE
>>14094565
I wouldn't chance it. Just get one with a manual, or manual swap it.
Let's play a game.
>Go on craigslist
>search for cars
>max price as 1000
>fifth image you see that isn't an under priced car is your next project.
