i saw the car running pretty good 3 weeks ago before i towed it home, it ran bone dry outa gas idling in buddies driveway. i towed it home without closer inspection, apon getting it home, i fucked up and tried to start it up on the tow dolly, on a steep angle, i flooded the back three cylinders with gas and oil, turns out the sump was way over full...

I'd get one of these to help. There's probably two or three thousand Skylarks left from your model year so I would hoard parts. Whatever you do, don't scrap or crush it.

OP here. Well, that was just preface. My mechanic said my entire exhaust system failed, cat exploded and I needed an entire new exhaust system. $1100 later my car works just like normal.

Your muffler was probably all clogged with shit. After you get that replaced you should also take a look at your O2 sensor(s) to make sure they're working right.

why the fuck WOULDN'T you be legally able to? If you are referring to shift times, putting a shift kit on an auto trans will make it feel rougher but make shift times shorter and actually extend your transmission life as well. If you are referring to changing the ratios, you'd need to go through the internals of the gearbox, and you're kind of be fucked unless you were to either find aftermarket sets or have your own machined.

Also, supercharged cars have 18" wheels. Those look like 17"ers. The 17" SS style wheels were only on 2006-2007 Cobalt SS N/A which weren't supercharged. The SS N/A cars used a 175 HP 2.4L Ecotec. no turbo, and no supercharger.
