ITT We talk about the best car ever made.
And why it is the '94 Supra
If only it came in a wagon

What the fuck is with this board's autistic obsession with making every car a wagon

>mid 90's economy car

pick one
posted here a couple weeks ago. my dad was offering 200k on some 458s but then he convinced himself to wait for the 488 since he likes the lights way more
when does this car come out in the US to buy? whats the approximate cost? why the fuck is there so little info?
>>14193151
>my dad was offering 200k on some 458s
proof
not doubting but just wondering why he wants that car for 200k instead of any others
>>14193151
Troll? Just go to a Ferrari dealership and ask, I'm sure you'll get better responses then on an anonymous Scandinavian Post-it board.
>>14193154
>any others
There aren't that many others
he thinks:
>lambos=too showy, low, claustrophobic, unpractical
>mclarens=never really shown interest
>mercedes=he was thinking about the GTS but never really went with it
Why arent we shitposting about this?
>>14192794
idk
>v8 swap ND
what's there to shitpost about? sounds awesome
all i'm concerned about is weight distribution

Making slow cars fast is gud.
ITT; we talk about what tires we are running, share experiences and thoughts, and we also shitpost loudly about how winter tires are a meme
Summer; Toyo Proxes T1R, 205/55/16
Good grip in both wet and dry, but they are loud and have high rolling resistance
Winter; Nokian Hakkapeliitta 7, 195/65/15
Best winter tire on the market when it was released, and so far I have never had to give up getting anywhere. I will never go for a tire with less traction than this has on ice and snow
Sumitomo HTR A/S P01
The newer HTR A/S P02 are not available in my 14 inch size. Nonetheless these work extremely well. Grip in the dry is more than enough for my car but grip in the wet is absolutely fantastic due to it's all season construction with silica compounds in the tread.
I got a good impression from the company so I got my mum 4 HTR ZIII for her 2.5L Mazda3. Grip is good. Her car has a really low geared first gear (auto) so it really accelerates fast from standstill - if the tyres can grip. And they do well
>>14192646
winter tires ARE a meme though
Summer: Yokohama S.Drive 235/40/17
best dry grip for the price range. also has massive scuff guards on the lip
but sidewall is a little mushy and theyre loud
Winter: Yokohama S.Drive 235/40/17
>>14192729
I think they should just cease trying to sell Dunlop-branded tires here, from what I've been told they are not selling all that well... the Sumitomo brand could potentially do a lot better with proper marketing
>>14192787
How is the noise?
Alright boys, whip em out

Nice buttplug.

>Highest tier supercars only come in automatic
>Upper tier luxury cars only come in automatic
>Affordable mainstream cars only come in automatic except for cheapo base trims or enthusiast models
>Automatics get noticeably better mpg then manuals

AHAHAHA
Who the fuck is this delusional?
Now is actuslly a great time to be a car enthusiast because older enthusiast cars are cheap and aftermarket is bigger than ever. The future is going to suck though.
No, but it's a really bad time to be a luddite.

So Chevy is bringing the Cruze hatch stateside, and it actually doesn't look too bad. Most expensive trim comes at about $23,000. Thoughts?
I think it's insane that we don't even get all the cars our domestic companies produce , and then get fucked by Japanese ones too
Too bad the German original always looks better than the US bodykit one.
>>14189726
Looks a lot better than this fucked up mess of a front end. First good looking Chebby shitbox in a long while.
>>14189731
I wouldn't mind too much if we didn't have to wait a quarter century before we could import something else ourselves, but the combo of that and not being sold anything actually interesting and not normie-tier cashcow garbage is maddening.

Do American car companies still use imperial nuts and bolts, or are all the new Fords and GMs metric at this point?
