This is the only acceptable way to do climate control.

My car has some sort of blend dial on the vents that changes the amount of air brought in from the engine vs the amount of air brought in from outside.

This.
Toes get cold but god damn I can't stand turning on the heater otherwise because I get hot as fuck.

Hype real or just shills?
Pissed off Hotwheels car with tourettes
New Mustang will be better regardless if it's slower
Why not both?
A couple guys in the club already took delivery of theirs. Haven't heard about the performance but they say they really like them so far.
recent gas purchses?
93 octane @ 2.13 in MD today
>93 at BP
$2.30
>92 at shell
$2.60
Both have the same price for standard grade at $1.79. Am I missing something? Why the fuck?
1.83 for regular here

shell is notorious for being a rip off. they shill on my local gasbuddy and report false prices at their stations so ppl go there
Recently got my fist car and wanted to get into repairing and fixing it myself. It's a 97 Honda accord ex v4 vtech (pic related). Any ideas where I can start learning to increase performance and overall maintenance?
>>14188252
> V4
Nah but bro what are you trying to do? If you don't know much start off just installing new parts that wear (full tune up, brakes, rotors, tires [you'll be surprised what big a difference tires make] than move to performance( headers, fuel delivery, air delivery, clutch, etc.)
>>14188252
First thing you should know is that the "V" in the cylinder specification of a car is referring to a layout where the cylinders are arranged in a V shape. Yours are arranged inline so it's an I4 engine.
Second, you're not going to get much out of it as far as performance. Save up for your next car and get something with a little bit more under the hood. I'd recommend an E46 330i or E39 530i as a next step up or if you really want to mod a car yourself get a Miata, they're easy and...

Found a '99 Skoda Felicia for 800 euros with just 46k km on it.
I know it's shit stock but is it worth getting it as a funcar or is it not worth sinking money into?
>felicia
>fun car
hyper noob.
for 800 and only 46k km it's some of the best value you can get for such a few bucks since it's bulletproof VW tech (the actually reliable shit from the EU and the 80's/90's, so don't even start to shit all over this, burgers).
you don't pump money into cars like this to make them fast while you're obviously don't have much to spend.
IF you want to pump money into a car like this then you do it because THE PROCESS of...

About three years ago, you could've gotten my 309 for 250 euros and THAT would've been much more fun (it also had only 60k km on the clock). Don't buy a fucking Skoda Felicia for "fun" - it's for transportation and saving money, nothing more and nothing less. [image very related]
>>14188066
Buy it as a beater, not for fun
Is this catstang-fucked or a good candidate for an autox beater?
Id be trading a dirt bike for it.
>>14187795
Looks pretty fucked. Drive it down the road and see if it goes straight or not.
more pics, but it looks pretty fucked m8
>>14187812
It's 4 hours away. :/
does mileage even matter on a fit?
does anything go wrong with them?
there's one with 131k miles nearby for 6.5k, which is pretty cheap
>>14187753
Rough idles are common as fug, usually fuel delivery problems
First gen Fits leaked from the factory, other than that I've heard good things
But then again the only person who I know owns one is a grandmother
>>14187768
this would be a second gen, 2009
>>14187766
i thought that was just a thing on all shitboxes? or do you mean rough idle as in really lumpy idle
First time buyer here.
How viable is getting a low rate/high mileage shitbox for a first car? (+150k miles) Any good/bad experiences with yours?
All I know is, it should be good as long as it runs normal and the maintenance is ok.
Pic unrelated

>financing a high mileage shit box
Anything with 150K+ miles, you are going to get raped with a 20%+ APR
>>14187779
>financing
Nah, I got savings to pay up front anything below 7000 thanks to my parents.
>>14187779
Who said he was financing?
>>14187684
Its fine OP, just make sure you go over the car, sometimes shit could be wrong with it for it sitting for sale for a while (rusted brakes, corroded/sundamaged lines, sundamage etc.)
Hey /o/
Me and my bro are fixing up a 72 Buick Centurion. We just took the seats out today and are wondering how we should go about fixing the seats.
pic related are the front seats we took out, the drivers seat has the most damage, other than that the vinyl is pretty good on the other seats, just a few rips here and there. We were thinking of getting it reupholstered, but we are also considering just getting a sturdy cover for the seats and just trying to maybe use some sort of cleaner to treat the seat backs and try to keep it original as possible. Has anyone done...

Are new ones out of the question? I think you can buy new covers and reupholster them yourself. I've seen it done and don't think it's too hard.
>>14187676
Take them to an upholstery, cheaper than you think
New foam, new leather and a whole lot of effort and swearing.
Never tried it myself
Figured you folks might know some tricks besides what Google and find me.
Tried getting out of a parking garage the other night by going around the lift bar as the machine would not let me out.
Left a prettyyy long paint buff on the side of my car, basically a long white line of white paint, over the my car's black paint, from the rail I was attempting to get around.
Definitely looks like something I should be able to buff off without a huge scratch being left behind so I would like to fix it without leaving anymore damage.
This is the...

>as the machine would not let me out.
Should've just paid your parking fee.
Abrasive compound then polish.
Mineral spirits or lacquer thinner to take out the white paint and then assess the damage. If you can run your finger over it and feel a gouge then it will need to be sanded down and repainted. If you think it's just in the clear coat then sand it down with 1000-3000 grit and then compound/polish
>parked car and got out to go into store
>weird looking autistic guy comes up to me
>H-hey, just wanted to to tell you thats a nice car I like it a lot

Never in my life would I have thought that would ever happen.
What gives?

You answered your own question. You sure you weren't talking to yourself there champ?
Well you could have asked him what he likes so much about it instead of us
>>14187413
I had just washed it. Maybe it was my reflection.
>>14187416
Nope. He was giving off a really weird vibe.
I find midsize cars like pic related to be cramped feeling and too small.
Is there another size or model I can look into that aren't SUVs?
>>14187382
Yes. 2015 Loseweight siR edition
Cramped in what way?
Roof too low?
Can't get the seat far enough back?
Legs stuck between seat and steering wheel?
Stomach prevents steering wheel from turning unless lubricated?
Door won't close properly unless you lean over to the right when shutting it off?
It's safety.
There are a dozen airbags packed into each pillar and crevice, and the unibody built thick. As a result, almost every modern car feels small and has poor visibility. At least for their size.
Can someone explain this F-Body to me??
It has the Trans AM Cladding and Front, but it has the Firebird Bonnet and wing. It's an Automatic too.
The model year is a 2002 and I have the VIN on my other phone, but was this a legit option package?
This is exactly opposite of how I'd want my Formula, so maybe somebody traded parts.
>>14187171
Light panel says Trans Am.
Panels probably swap right over between the two.
>>14187179
The panels DO swap in place of one another. I'm wanting to see if there was a delete option on the Spoiler and Hood.
Camaro has the same doors and T Tops.
so my car was overheating today. I drove it home after i pulled over and let it cool down. I wasn't far. its a Chrysler seabring.. like 2006 or something.
so I opened the hood because my dad told me I might just need to put fluid in it. but this is what the thing with the radiator cap on it looks like. is it supposed to be disconnected?
sorry I know nothing about cars.. does anyone know whats wrong, and if its gonna be expensive? im legit broke so im kinda worried
also idk if this is related. but the heater/air conditioner has had problems for a while...

>>14187076
Ya...you have some problems, the hose definately needs to be attached to complete fluid loop...
>>14187097
so what do you think is wrong? like it needs a new hose? or it just needs to be reconnected?
>>14187103
It needs to be connected, but it kinda looks like the piece of flange is missing...this maybe somewhat costly if the only solution is a new rad...
All fox platform cars welcome. I love these threads because there a quite a few anons with some really nice foxbodys.
