Meanwhile, any good track car worth it's salt is RWD - because AWD setups are heavy and unnecessary. RWD provides more than enough grip for anything below 600hp.
I want a foxbody as a daily driver. Yeah im aware of other options but this is what i want so please give me some advice.
I see that they started using EFI in '86 but i kind of want a carbureted one. I want that old car feel. Im confident in being able to maintain it and such so that doesnt bother. Also amy year before 87 has those kickass 4 eyed headlights.
I guess my main question is what would be the best year of the foxbody in your opinion and why. And is my decision a shitty one or not.

So, it's winter here. Due to unforseen circumstances, my winter beater is unavailable to me and my only mode of transportation is my miata.
It has brand new Kumho All-seasons, and an LSD diff, but no actual snow tires. It's done OK in the light snow like pic related if I'm very careful. However, chain laws are in effect in most of the nearby highways, and I live on a hill. I really don't want to end up in a ditch and/or pay a huge fine if we get an actual storm. So, I'm gonna buy some chains and one of those shovels to keep in my trunk. Only problem...

you can be a little off with the width and profile sizes, as long as you're not tracking the car they'll be fine
snow chains are alright, but a pain in the ass and generally not necessary if you have snow tires

How hard would it be to fit that engine and transmission into a VW Beetle?

I watched speed academy, mcm, drive, tuned, etc and was fooled into thinking I could build the car I wanted in the matter of a couple years and thought I had the funding in order to do so. In the past 6 months alone, I've been through 4 motors (2 ka24, 1 rb20, and a rb25) going into the 5th (vq37), 4 transmissions, 5 snails, some other shit and I've only made little progress.
