Have a 2015 focus st. Bought a Cobb stage 1 kit. Have 1000 saved up. What should I buy
A sports car
A hooker.
a high yield savings bond
Does anyone know what car this is?
>>14206151
How about you walk about twenty feet and read the badge?
This is the only picture I have, it was sent to me. I'm sorry
Huh, usually I can figure these things out by typing in basic shit like "station wagon" and some different years but I'm not finding this one. Closest I could find were some Toyotas from the late 70s.
Would you judge someone for modifying their Merc/Bimmer/Lexus/Infiniti/Lincoln/Audi/Cadi like a 240SX for performance?
i doubt you have money for either so it's hard to take your question seriously.
No
>>14205968
A new luxury car, you mean? Seems rather an odd choice to take a luxury car and deliberately remove the luxury that is one of its selling points. Why not buy something without any of that, which is probably a better platform for modification anyway, for less money?
Obviously e36s and is300s and shit make fine, cost-effective platforms for tuning, but I assume you aren't talking about stuff like that.
Yo california aut/o/enthusiasts, whose MR2 is this?
Be honest, I know I've seen this MR2 with the exact same license plate somewhere on this board a few weeks back, it was either in the norcal meetup thread or some other one.
Here's a hint for the guy who owns it- the custom license plate on the back rhymes with "Sister-Poo", UCSC West Remote Parking, next to my 300zx
It's a really clean car man, props for taking good care of it. The MR2 is probably one of my favorite designs
>>14205840
No AW11s at norcal meetups so far
I don't mean to hijack your thread, OP -- I love the MR2 as well.
Should I go for this?

>>14205924
Fuck, if this was anywhere near me I'd be driving down to it right now to look at it.
I probably wouldn't go for it as a daily driver but an MR2 that's not too banged up and with only 139k miles on the odometer, for 3.5k would make a great project/fun car to drive around or work on on the weekends. Maybe someday when I live in a house or apartment with multiple parking spots I'll invest in an old one to wrench on too.
>they use fix a flat
I have a bottle in the trunk of my Cuntpack because the spare tire which can be seen under the bumper was not A E S T H E T I C enough for me.

ANOTHER ADVANTAGE FOR RWD
>>14205707
Honestly the best way to ruin a mechanics day, besides telling him he has to pull a dash under warranty.
I'm looking to get a nice reliable car with decent mpg and comfort. Budget is ~$3000. What else is there besides early 2000s Lexus ES300?
80s merc

What are some <$100 things you can do to your car that will help it performance/cosmetic wise?
>>14205466
>Needs a turbo to win by ~2 seconds
Hondafags always a shit
my wat stickers improved my p/w by 50hp/tonne but i needed to tint my windows and wear a balaclava to avoid female attention
A fukkin sik shift knob will do both.
Anyone ever get car sick when they ride as a passenger in someone else's car?
Often. I'd always rather be the driver
Only sick of how bad they're driving.
Yeah OP happens to me a lot. Also >>14205453

Nice meme.
Do you even have a car?
I am in the market for a new car and hoping to get something that is 2WD/4WD. The two models that I have been able to find are the Suzuki sx4 and the Suzuki Kizashi. I know these aren't super cars by any means but just wanted to see if anyone had any insight into reliability and performance?
You're in the States right? Suzuki was pretty much on par with everyone else before they disappeared. I was looking into the SX4. They're just so damn rare, but that's what I like about them. Even more rare is the AWD & manual. Rocky Road or some company, makes a lift kit for the things.
I know nothing about the Kizashi other than it sold poorly, people because perception that Honda/ Toyota is king. Really though, Mitsubishi, Suzuki, Kia, Volkswagen, are all pretty good now.
here's that company

>>14205224
Yes in the United States. Very depressed that they pulled out of the market. Any feelings on the Kizashi?
why
Mitsubishi needs to stop trying to be Toyota/Honda and stick to making cheap enthusiast vehicles. They can't compete, so it's time to downsize.
>>14205133
if cheap drivers cars made money they would do it

i have a 2012 4-piston honda accord
im going to diy change the oil today before it gets dark, never done it before
what do i do to prevent pic related from happening to me?
im petrified, what if the car falls down and i get pinned underneath and die
i was thinking of parking it up over a curve desu
thanks for the advice in advance senpai
>>14204944
good jack stands or car ramps
and hope to god your oil filter isn't stuck on
>>14204944
If your car does need to be raised at all to get to the drain plug and/or oil filter, make sure to use jack stands. You never work underneath a car that is only supported by a jack. On my car I don't need to raise the body at all, the oil filter is accessible from above, so thankfully its not something I have to worry about it. Still, jack stands are relatively cheap at your local auto parts store, so don't risk it if you need them.

stop being a bitch, ull die eventually
Looking to get a DD car in the next few months, I have been looking at a 2016 value edition Elantra currently.
Any other advice for something around 25k or less?
>hyundai
not even once
>>14204847
The Forte is on the same platform as the elentra but better in every why.
>better styling
>201hp turbo or 174hp 2.0gdi
>most the options on the elentra come standard on the forte.
Get the forte if your willing to get the elentra.

This is assuming you're talking about coolness factor and brotrucks.
Trucks are used to haul things. Muscle cars are used to haul ass. They have 2 different purposes, the exceptions being El Camino, Ranchero, Typhoon/Syclone, and the SRT-10 Ram
