Can Ford be saved?
is it really as simple as just pulling their head out of the V6's ass and offering V8's again for vehicles that should have them?
>the Mustang will become an "ecoboost V6 only" within your lifetime
>the Mustang will offer an electric option in your lifetime
>make a luxury brand
>offer only FWD V6s
Lincoln is getting shittier every year while Cadillac is doing some cool shit.
>>14279574
Exactly how does the drivetrain matter in a luxury car beyond being able to move the car and not disturbing occupants? FWD is fine with me if I get more cabin space in my luxury car out of the deal.
>>14279614
This really, other than "muh status", a turbo v6 tuned for low end grunt will drive the same as a large n/a v8, and fwd just means more cabin space.
What does /o/ think of Matt Farah's foxbody?

How can you damage your car for overfilling your gas tank?
Everyone keeps telling me the same but I do it most of the time. Btw is a car from 2006
“By topping your fuel tank off, it can either overwhelm your evaporative system and break something or cause a hazardous leak by the excess pressure in the system,”
Overfilling the gas tank can cause liquid gas to enter the charcoal canister, or carbon filter, which is designed only for vapor. Gas in the system can affect your car’s performance by causing it to run poorly, and damage the engine,
It does terrible things to the evap system and that includes the charcoal canister. The canister in newer cars is not vented to the atmosphere like the older cars, so once saturated with raw gas, it doesn't clear after a few miles, it stays saturated for a while. This, of course, causes problems in the evap system and never ending 'check engine' codes. Other problems are raw gas mucking up evap sensors and valves, requiring them to be replaced. And some are not cheap. The evap system in newer cars is designed to sacrifice itself to prevent fuel spills from over-filling,...

Are you guys serious, damage from filling your fuel tank.........

Seriously, this is not even funny now. The Miata is objectively the better car and rocket bunny stancefag autists STILL defend the pigfat Toyobaru. Why?
Is the buyers remorse really that bad?
Has there ever been a worse failure of a car than the Toyobaru in the past 20 years?

Sup /o/ bros, I carry a fire extinguisher in both my cars after this happened last year
http://www.montereyherald.com/article/NF/20150731/NEWS/150739969
I was driving to work on the oposite side of the highway when the car was on fire, didnt know there were 2 kids inside until I saw the news later that day
some guy tried to rescue them but the fire was burning him so he couldnt do anything, if he had some kind of extinguisher those kids could have survived.
you guys think all new cars should come with a small extinguisher that only cost about $20,...

I keep one behind my passenger seat. My car always smells like gas so I'm happy to have it for when an actual leak catches fire.

Glad to hear that I keep mine in the passenger feet area tied down so it dosent roll all over the place. Also keep a glass breaker and seat belt cutter if not for me for whoever is lucky to get in an accident in my path
Like one of my friends told me, if anyone had an extinguisher when paul walker crashed they might have saved him but instead they just watched.
Glad to hear your local bro
What's the most generic car of all time?

I can't see how you could get any more soulless than the Camry. It's a design by commitee, appeal to everyone, A--->B appliance, with no quirks or character.
It's a car.

It is.
And it's very good. Take a look at modern mpg on the non z06 c7 along with its power. Getting 28 on the highway with a 500 hp car is impressive, as edgy and third world you wanna be

Alright, winter is officially here for most of North America. Share your winter driving stories and tales of sick drifts in parking lots.

>sick drifts in parking lots
Was doing this at 3AM for the first time, and I got to doing really high speed skidz since the parking lot was huge. Miscalculated a little and ended up clearing the base of a street light I was going to hit at 50kph.
When I went to check out the line my bumper made in the snow, I measured it to be about 4mm from the concrete.
I live in Texas. Our winters go as low as 50 degrees, pretty cold. But no snow, so no "sick parking lot drifts"
Had a shitty Corsica in early December a couple years back. Rear tires were so bad that I was going sideways through intersections at 10mph.
Was fun while it lasted, but I got new tires to keep it out of the ditch.

I'm in no hurry so I don't speed, but I have no tolerance for morons that can't figure out merging/yielding/lane changes, so I drive in the wrong lane, on the sidewalk, over median islands, or whatever else I need to do pretty often.

Manual is more fun. That's primarily why we like it. Not for benchracing purposes.
