how do i rev match?
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=baMkgVjpgiI
>>14282834
Blip the throttle. Say in 4th gear going 40mph your rpms sit at 2k than in neutral you rev it to 2k and you shift into 4th. Repeat for the rest of the gears. Congrats you now know how to rev match
>>14282851
Shift from 4th to 4th?
Blip the throttle...you read that somewhere but have no idea what that means.
Can we get a car cringe thread going?

Quick Summary: Looking for a new ride on a budget.
>>14277808
With noon rolling around soon you don't want to take the chance of not being here when Erika shows up, you've come too far to fuck up now.
You get lost in watching some game shows on TV to pass the time, your mind wondering around.
Building up that Henry J is going to take quite a bit of money, maybe more than you have. Working for Carpenter makes a little money but you won't be getting another big payday until Sunday.
Hmm, maybe you should sell the parts you have left from the 350? You still have your old Isky cam, stock heads, valves, carb, and air cleaner. Then again maybe you could pickup another small block Chevy and put those on, should save some money. You don't see yourself getting another 350 and transmission though, would those parts even work out on a lesser engine?
Ehh, you'll grab them either way, if you do pick up that car you're gonna need a tow that'll send you to Carpenter's anyway.
The Savoy isn't going to be very fast, just a 318 in a big car like that? Thing probably weighs more than the Packard but at least it runs and should be pretty damn comfortable to ride around in. Still bound to be faster than the Valiant too, much more livable and having 3 Plymouths in the family would be kinda cool.
That VW that June was talking about could be fun, it'd be completely different from anything you've driven so far. Sure it won't be fast now but you know you can fix that, you'd have $240 left over after buying to play with. No idea on how far that will get you on one though, having a VW crew to run around with doesn't sound so bad.
Speaking of things completely different, there's Sharon's panhead or whatever it was she was selling. You don't even know how to ride and knowing how Erika was around her last time it may not be wise to get here to take you to Al's. You don't even know how to ride so you'd have to learn that.

There's also those old Ford's at Rick's garage, those old things can't weigh too much and with a more modern engine should move pretty good. Sure his and Carpenter's cars might be quick but those old ancient engines can't compare to what's around these days can they?
As much as you'd like to win the '55 back you don't even know if they'd let you race for it, though having another fast car would just be fun in general. There has to be other ways to get...

Alright boys, you've decided that we're doing Dancing by Vicky Vale (A.K.A. COOL VIBRATIONS).
To make it easier for me to sync and mix everything together, please sing with the song playing in your headphones instead of just reading lyrics.
Submit your entries to this Google Drive folder: https://drive.google.com/folderview?id=0B_vAGzPOShuLdmpWV2dSelBKS00 or to Vocaroo (Google Drive preferred since quality on Vocaroo is pretty shit) until February 1st.

Slow unaware drivers are the worst, they seem to all be scared of being on the road in the first place.
Just take the fucking bus...
I live in London, all the streets are narrow and tight, speed limits and speed bumps everywhere, and on top of that you get some fuck going 20 in a 30 or 15 in a 20 and braking from 100 yards away like a pussy.
I'm overdue and should have a car by now, but part of me knows that I'll end up road raging one day, and just slamming someone full speed into the...

It's the most efficient way to shift an automatic transmission, dude The center console is freed up for whatever and you don't have a stupid column shifter blocking the center stack.
