If you're buying something in the 1000 - 2500 dollar range do you still try and get a mechanic to look at it before you buy?
I don't know about in the US but in Canada you can make bank. Buy 1000 dollar civic, add 250 dollars worth of rice (fart can, Cone filter stuck on stock intake plumbing, cut springs, remove resonator, cat etc) sell to some stupid kid for 3000. I've been making a living this way for years.

What does your car do?
No matter how much or little you think it matters, it doesn't matter as much as you think it does. To me anything is sufficient as long as I don't have to utterly mash the pedal just accelerate with traffic.

Sup /o/, I'm thinking about selling my 06 rx-8 and getting a new car. I was pretty set on getting a 2010 Subaru WRX, but lately the 370z has been catching my eye. I'm pretty conflicted about which one to get. I like the AWD of the WRX but the 330 hp on the 370z is pretty nice.
TLDR; I cant choose a car under 20k to buy and need help.

I had planned on tuning the WRX and trying to get 300 hp out of it, but then again the 370z is already making that and then some.
STIs are next to impossible to find under 20k without shit loads of miles on them, or extreme wear and tear sadly.
