CAN ANYONE IDENTIFY THIS ENGINE?
He doesn't say which make and model on his site :/
Can anyone think of the perfect hoverbike engine?
I'd really, really want to make my own hoverbike one day if I'm ever going to stop being such a poor dumb douche.
>>14645029
The perfect hoverbike would have an electric motor, not an internal combustion engine.
The only problem would be battery life.
>>14645044
And battery weight. And recharging.
As a weight to energy ratio, gasoline engines are better than batteries by a mile and the ability to fill up at gas stations is great, too.
Look at the picture. It's amazing. So few parts.
>>14645029
I'd say it's one of BMW's modern air cooled motorcycle engines, which one exactly i'm not sure.
Could be out of one of the R1200 or 1150's.
I want to know more about Saturn. Are they reliable or worth owning at all nowadays? Cheap parts? Good gas mileage? I'm interested in the sl series, ion series, and vue
>>14645020
I have a 2004 v6 Fwd Vue, It's fast as fuck. pretty reliable except the front suspension is under equipt for the weight of the Big Honda V6 engine so the ball joints are always fucked and tends to kill the brakes.
I put a big vtec sticker on my rear glass and Honda Bros always try and call me out on it. But then I Just hit vtec and launch like the Saturn Vue Vtec faggot I am.
Manuals versions are ok but the automatics are Honda tier bad
Not only that but the majority of the previous owners have had overheating issues
>>14645038
I drive one too. Steering feels like shit to me and the torque steer is ludicrous. It's not comfortable either.
It's got a great engine, but the rest of the car fucking sucks.
I know I need tires, but that engine can break them loose even when it's already moving. It's retarded.
What's the story with Subaru lesbians? Will people think I'm a homosexual if I buy a Forester? Straight man btw
>>14644869
Yeah, Homos love these things>>14644869
>>14644869
Well you like women right? does that not make you a lesbian?
The men who drive these are usually betas with the odd douche in an STI tuned one who thinks he's Pastrana and ends up top down in a ditch.
I am considering buying a MK1 Skoda Octavia RS 1.8T 180HP. I don't know much about these cars but i think they look great and are pretty rare compared to Audis, Seats and VWs with the same 1.8T engine. Are they reliable? How do they respond to simple mods (CAI, Suspension, FMIC, remap, exhaust)?
>>14644361
I don't know OP but I am Czech so he'll yeah buy one! Wicked reliable cars
For a car that old reliability is mostly going to be down to how it has been treated during its life. The engine itself is very tuneable, an intake, exhaust, intercooler and remap should get you over 200hp. Heavily modified 1.8T engines have hit over 400hp reliably.

Thanks for the reply man! I found one near me in red with the leather interior completely stock and only 110k KM for 3.500€. Do you think its a fair price?
My mom's turning 50 next month and she's always dreamed of owning a pic related. Seeing as I know almost nothing about cars, what is the best Mercedes sedan I can get for her in the $50-60k range? Has to be new, not used. Will mostly be used for running errands, driving less than 25 miles a day
>>14643934
C class or GLC. If you're gonna go for the E, get the updated 2017, not a 2016.
Yeah C300 or GLA.
Or better yet, get a Maybach and drive her around and spoil the fuck out of her.
>>14643934
Why is she going to buy something she doesn't need with money she doesn't have to impress people she doesn't like?
I can import this in US?
>>14643819
no, because you are poor and your planning skills are limited to shitposting on /o/
>>14643819
NO, because 55 year old design still too good for US market for next 25 years.

>>14643819
Yes. It's >25 years old
Let's have a boomer hate thread.

I don't really like the Cayenne, but I guess it's a necessary evil.
I usually can't stand their drivers, though.
>man wants a Porsche
>wife wants an SUV for the chilluns and muh safety
>compromise and get a Cayenne/Macan because man can still say he drives a Porsche and wife has her feeling of safety and room for the kids
It's an SUV for rich people. It does what its supposed to do well, which is be an SUV that costs a lot of money.
I've never met someone who drove one who was an emotionally-healthy person.
Hi /o/
I know almost nothing about cars.. I started my own business and am making some decent cash.
I want a Jeep Wrangler BUT should I buy a new one? Whlst I CURRENTLY know nothing about cars I would like to learn. I have become interested in prepping and want a car tnat I can use for work (my business requires me to drive all day) but that I could also drive into the bush when SHTF.. I also dislike the idea of buying so,ething new that would devalue horrible, I would rather buy something older for a 1/4 of the price and then put money into it to make it fit my...

>I want a Jeep Wrangler BUT should I buy a new one?
No.
Just kill yourself for even considering a Chrysler product.
Get out of /o/.
>>14641740
>I need a car that Gives the impression of success
Do white people really judge people like that?
>>14641740
After reading your post I would suggest a range rover. Are you in the states?
My parents asked me to figure out what the best tires are for their car.
They do this because I like cars but I have no clue actually.
Where do I start? They own a 2010 prius so no it should have 'normal' tires.
I guess the cheapest isn't an option but what is?
They'll want OEM tires. They're low rolling resistance tires designed to help MPG numbers.
>>14641441
How long is a piece of string, nigga?
How many miles per year?
What are the road conditions like?
Snow/no snow
Ice/no ice
Does it get particularly hot?
What wheels?
Are they comfort nazis?
What state? Assuming US but some tires are cheaper/more popular depending on where.
>>14641452
>They'll want a long, hard, black cock right in their ass
Why not just suggest OP shoot his parents in the head? Be about as useful.
Only retards use eco tires. 50% worse in every way for a 2.5% improvement over a normal tire at high but gud pressure.
>buy expensive car
>barely drives it
>>14639748
>buy manual car
>stalling sound scares me so I only drive it with my mate who I pay 10/hr to teach me how to drive manual
>>14639748
>Buy car I've wanted for so long
>Never get to drive it because to busy
It's either be poor and get to drive constantly or be middle class while forced into 100+hr work weeks away from home.
Life sucks until it's too late.
>co worker goes on about his new merc
>doesn't stop talking about the DRIVING EXPERIENCE

Anyone know anything about the 335d?
265hp 425ft/lb. Sounds like a monster, they are ~20k for a 2011 model.
I'm reading they might be unreliable pieces of shit though.
They are pretty reliable, can be remapped to 300hp easily. Good mileage as well.
I dont get why the later 335d`s were less poweful than the early ones though, the 2006 335d had 286hp.
>>14637324
Well it's a BMW, it's going to cost you to keep that thing running well.
Lot of BMWs have solidly built engines and transmissions but the shit around it can go bad. The N54 is the best example. Those motors are tanks but they're plagued with HPFP issues, turbo wastegate issues, injector problems, water pump and thermostat failures and carbon buildup issues on the intake valves.
Idk to much about the diesel though.
>>14637324
BMW are trash don't buy one.
Why isnt there cheap electric sports cars?
>>14643803
give it 25 years and there will be. You were born too early.
Relatively new technology with high R&D costs, limited production and interest.
they have to make money somehow
