picked up a 140k mileage 6.0 (g8 gt) today for 11k
mint condition other than a few nicks and scratches on the front/rear bumper with all the premium options except sunroof. New tires / full stock.
how fucked did I get? every one i could find around me was going for 16-22k but was either low mileage or the 6.2 ls2
runs strong, he showed me receipts of the price he paid at auction and the repairs he made to get it ready for his lot and it looks like he only took about 800 profit

The gayest of the gay...
In all seriousness not sure about those but the v6 base model bs we get over here are a fucking asshole to service and theyre just really unreliable, you dont have one of those though so carry on
>>14659615
these have the ls2 engines (i think detuned), 6.0 comes with 355 stock and the 6.2 is 415
I wanted a used luxury car with some torque for comfy riding and this thing came along.. all the lexus/caddies with the same mileage and similar interiors were around the same price so I took the plunge
>>14659626
The 6.2 is an ls3 btw
Hey we are working on a RX7 drift build. Please go check it out if youd like! thanks!

I'll watch the video if you can ensure me you're modifying a stock 12a or 1st gen 13b and aren't putting a truck motor in it.
skipped around, but my first impressions

maybe I'll actually watch it, but its kinda neat to see a rotary being brought back to life and built up.
Thanks dude! Haha yeah its a hoopty but its getting there. Hopefully we will get it up and running good soon
So my transmission is pretty much fucked and the car was recently put on sale, is there a quick fix to this shit? It literally won't change to the second gear.
>tfw no dad to teach me this shit
is it auto or manual?
you might be able to get away with just replacing the fluid, look up a diy on your car's forum

call it the CST: the Continuously Shifting Transmission
Long story short, I got T-boned and my car was totaled; based Amica gave me $32k to replace it. I have just under 3 years left of grad school before I move back to Chicago and no longer need a car, so I figured "fuck it, I'll lease a fun car and enjoy it while I'm here."
Based on lease options and quotes, I've narrowed it down to the Audi TTS and base Porsche Cayman. The Porsche had better handling, but the Audi was quicker off the line and will cost less.
Which would you pick? Both have nice interiors, are fun as fuck to drive, and both...

Wrong wheel drive or right wheel drive. The choice should be obvious.
>there are car """"enthusiasts"""" on this board RIGHT now that think manual is stupid
I'm kind of indifferent nowadays. On the low hp econobox cars, a manual is probably going to be your only source of fun. Typically higher trims don't come with manual options though.
On a higher hp car for the street, it's more a wash. A dd/only car would probably make more sense with an auto, especially in an urban environment.
I'm looking for a 997 right now and it actually isn't even a part of my search criteria. The only 2 things that might push me into a manual (given the choice between to desired cars) is that it won't be a...

not stupid just outdated
so if you care about performance its stupid to get it
>>14657587
Luxury/higher end sports cars come almost standard as automatics with a manual mode. Seems fitting considering automatics have caught up with manual shifting and are in some cases even better..
Post your car camping set-ups
Hopefully this is reasonable for a few days fishing/camping trip.
>tfw drive an e39 touring and really want to replicate clarkson's ultra comfy touring conversion
I guarantee you will be freezing inside if the weather isn't warm during the night.
Probably should bring along some extra blankets or something.

I just re watched that episode. So great.
Sup /fit/,
Went in the gym today to do a chest work out. While I was doing dumbbell press I noticed my right side was significantly weaker than my left - no pain, just the inability to keep up with the left for the first time ever. I then realized I could barely flex my right Lat and pec.. Any idea what the problem could be? I did a heavy back workout last week and I can't help but think that caused it.
Wrong board m8
/f/ is <--------- that way bro.

How do you guys feel about engine cleaners like Sea Foam (there are others out there too).
Some people love it, some hate it. What's the deal?
>seafoam
why not just ask spongebob himself to come over and jizz into your engine bay, faggot
your mother can have some of my seafoam
>>14657095
God this board is fucking cancer
Sea Foam is some good stuff. I've used both the canister and spray can (goes in just before the TB) and found they do some real work on carbon deposits. It's not a one time fix all thing though. A spray canister and bottle will do the trick.
On my old Sable LS it was able to clean out my engine enough to clear a CEL for running lean on all banks.Cleared the code and it never came back.

krusty jew Mr. Krabs. Quit trying to sell of your Fagfoam and go sell some krabby patties.

yeah those are god machines for this purpose but i'm not a multi millionaire
also, i wouldn't like to ask for an S class/LS600/A8/7 series because i feel like they're too expensive and too much for one person
so i was kinda thinking up to 60k maybe?

Do you follow the speed limit? Do you go, 5, 10, etc over it?
>>14656806
depends i usually go 5 or 10 kph under for Muh MPEEGEEES
otherwise 10 kph over
>>14656806
Depends on location, traffic patterns. My general rule of thumb is as followed:
>In ME, NH, RI, and MA = 10 over
>In NY and CT = 15 over
>In VT, 5 over
>>14656806
5-10 mph over on the freeway. Surface streets no more than 5 over, too many little municipalities in my area that are sticklers for speed limits and the fines are way too high.
