I wish they weren't so overlooked. They have no Legacy specific-aftermarket support, but the GC Impreza was built off the first Legacy platform so a lot will swap over with little to no modification.

I'm planning on buying an SUV for towing cars with a trailer so these are heavy loads, does it matter whether it's RWD or AWD? Does AWD tow better or there's not that much difference than RWD?

Beltronics STi Magnum in my car and Adaptiv TPX on my bike with line of sight LED's in my helmet to signal threat direction.
Waze has been a better than a radar detector. But would say when I had one I never got a ticket. When it goes off how long until cops get a reading? I know laser is instant.
